Work as a freelance Digital Marketing consultant for various clients/agencies in the UK and overseas.
Recent project was TapMad TV, Pakistan's first video on demand service available through a free Android and iOS application, website and an HDTV box. Working closely with their CEO, assignment entailed:
• Preparation of digital strategy, marketing and advertising plan and presenting it to the Stakeholders.
• Setting up of social media channels, training the staff on social media. Selecting and hiring content writers. Setting up of the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) structure and training the SEO team
• Planning, executing and measuring Google Adwords and Facebook advertising campaigns
• Assisting their CTO with user experience (UX) of website, Android App, iOS App and HDTV Box.
• Writing and presenting progress reports.
Consulting with national and international clients on behalf of the company. Managing and overseeing digital marketing projects entailing the following:
• Creating or revamping online presence in consultation with clients' IT team.
• Digital Marketing planning covering Email Marketing, Database Management, Social Media Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Online Reputation and Search Engine Marketing
• SEO structuring and ongoing optimisation (on-page and off-page).
• Ongoing reporting using Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools and other measurement tools for assessment of progress and evaluation of ROI.
• Recommending and implementing ongoing research and trend based changes to clients' digital presence and social communications/sentiment.
Re-engineered the online sales platform for the Group's office supplies business to integrate EPOS, warehousing and fulfilment that reduced paperwork and refined user experience.
Developed merchandising and promotional plans based on analysis of customers' viewing patterns (heat maps), browse paths, content interest and community activity that resulted in a 30% growth in profits.
Project managed Racing Telegraph, a complex combination of web, telephony and print for horseracing enthusiasts incorporating a database of over 100k entries of race horses and daily data feeds of race cards.
Launched Minitext, a JV with Netherlands based eOffice, in association with Research In Motion (RIM) to provide tetelext on Blackberry mobile handsets. Successfully negotiated teletext streams with Dutch National TV, MTV Europe, Travel Channel, Racing Channel, Channel 4 and CNBC Europe.

The importance of social media marketing for businesses and organizations is no longer questioned.
