Currently, and since March 2016, Ahmed is working remotely as an independent Senior IT Consultant freelancer for many companies, which offer such a type of work part timely.
Egyptian Protectorates Portal, in 2012 was a full simple project of size 1.5 man-year managed by myself within round -1- for SME's offered from ITIDA to maximize the demand in the Egyptian market. It was dynamic web portal using .php & Joomla platforms & tools.
ART - IICPSR, in 2014 was another 5 man-years project which I joined as external software quality assurance consultant. It was managed by Agile technique using Microsoft Team Foundation Server as its platform.
Starting end of 2010 till now, Ahmed has been dedicating all of his technical background to serve
his own company's customers as an external consultant especially new setups and on-job training.
• Eng. Okasha is 100% responsible for a complete ERP system on IBM AS/400 machine @ one of his loyal VIP customers since 1990 till now. The customer is an Egyptian SME with working capital of 14 M L.E. in construction field. Some of Eng. Okasha achievements are :-
• Maintaining the ready-made MRP-II System on S/36 Environment 1988-1992 using RPG/III.
• Analysis, design, implementation of sub systems to be integrated with existing ERP systems between1992-1999 using S/36 Environment in & CL.
• Solving the Y2K for all of AS/400 applications @mong many other customers’ implementations.
• Creating complete AS/400 application using RPG/400 as a solution for some customers’ needs.
Main tasks:
• Business Analysis and networking for Egyptian markets.
• Test Expert.
• Team leader.
• Project Manager.
Achievements:
• Helping in the setup phase of SQS - Egypt as an offshore hub for SQS Group.
• Certified ISTQB FL Tester.
• Running & implementing the first offshore project with SIX Card Solutions - ex. Telekurs.
• 2 Pilot projects in testing Avaloq at private banks in Switzerland. (RBS Coutts & LuKB)
• Project Manager of the internal project MTFDB for Avaloq customers.
Technical Environments & Know How gained:
• In SIX Card Solution' Project, I was responsible 100 % for a strategic internal developed software system called DeBit OnLine, DEBOL. 100 % means I was responsible for the all phases of the test Cycle there, Preparation, Execution & Defects Triage. They are using HP Quality Center Version 9.0 and upgraded once during our project.
• At the last 6 months of this project, I was responsible also to migrate all of DEBOL and FOX (Another internal Application for Card Payment Industry) to be fully automated with integrated QTP (Quick Test Professional Version 9.0, then 9.5 as test automation tool).
• In AVALOQ projects, the environment was SQS - Test Pro. Version 9.1 which is an internal developed tool in SQS - Group. Defect tracking was done by JIRA as an integrated tool.
• I have already instructed my colleagues in SQS - Egypt twice, instructed the standard 3-day course of HP Quality Center Version 9.0 introduction.
Main tasks:
• Day-2-Day management of the dedicated team for German-Customers.
• SPOC for both LH and Deutsche Boerse customers.
• Shift leader.
Achievements:
• Both customers satisfaction came to the optimal.
• Training & couching of our junior colleagues.
Technical Environments & Know How:
• For each German Customer of Orange Business Services, there were a VPN network composed of Cisco routers and many other specialized H/W.
• I mastered the internal Ticketing System by OBS, named Clarify which is very famous in Call Center industry.
• I have been CCNA certified during this period.
Main tasks:
• Implementing the setup business plan.
• Day-2-day Management of the state of the art software factory.
Achievements:
• 6 M Egyptian pounds total sales in 10 years.
• 1 copyright registered for own software AKSU's Version 1.0
• 3 Digits customer base within Egyptian SME's.
• 98 % Customer satisfaction ratio.
Technical Environments & Know How:
• In all of ASSERAG projects, I have mastered to managed complete software development' project & and our proprietary package life Cycle.
• I gained a Copyright No. for our package from local Egyptian Authority, namely Egyptian Cabinet Information & Decision Support Center IDSC.
I've got the vor diplom certificate from Stuttgart University in October 1992 as an external student.
Our section was named, Automatic Control & Computer Science department. So, we got fundamentals of electrical engineering for three years, then specialized in IT for the last two years and graduation project.
