• Organizes and supervises all vehicle repairs and maintenance work required for the Agency’s fleet, generators and water pumps, and the technical testing of vehicles, generators and water pumps before and after repair/maintenance.
• Coordinates with the Vehicle Control Officer the preventive maintenance of the vehicle fleet. Determines the repair/maintenance required.
• In coordination with the Vehicle Control Officer, establishes and controls the scheduled maintenance services for all Agency Vehicles.
• Raises, on daily basis, supply documents covering vehicle maintenance requirements needed.
• Responsible for determining requirements, the receipt of all MT spare parts and controls their use.
• Provides Supply control division with technical advice on storage and ordering of all Mt spare parts, including advice on minimum stock holding and future requirements.
• Supervises the preparation of proper job cards, vehicle technical inspection reports, vehicle cannibalization certificates and related administrative matters required in the Vehicle Maintenance Branch
• Ensures proper execution of all contracted automotive repair work to commercial maintenance or repair workshops.
• Responsible for inspecting and determining the fitness of all second hand serviceable automotive spare parts after repair.
• The custodian of all tools and equipment issued to the Vehicle Maintenance Division.
• Maintains up-to-date files on all Agency vehicles in the Field.
• Conducts driving tests of agency staff, and is responsible for the control and technical assessment of all staff in the Vehicle Maintenance Branch.
• Assists supervisor in preparing the annual budget for the Vehicle Maintenance Branch
• Drafts all correspondence related to the Vehicle Maintenance Branch.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
