1. During the commissioning: Supervise and coordinate with the main contractor "DANIELI" for all the required modifications, preparation for the Standard of Operation (SOP).
2. Monitoring the HMI in order to ensure the plant and processes are operating within set parameters and take the required actions for smooth operation.
3. Planning and coordination of utility plant operations within the shift hours according to the main production plant operational requirement.
4. Preparing Safety Work Permits and ensure all safety measures are taken before handing over equipments for maintenance.
5. Monitoring the chemical dosing system as well the quality of water in open and close circuits and prepare chemicals consumption reports.
6. Prepare list with any abnormalities and follow up with maintenance during down days.
7. Prepare the daily water consumption.
1. Ensure smooth and trouble free operation of Polymerization, Dope, Tank farm & Gel recovery areas during the shifts.
2. Monitor process and quality parameters. Troubleshooting and corrective action wherever required.
3. Meet shift production targets.
4. Maintenance coordination for planned and preventive maintenance.
5. Ensure safety and industrial hygiene in maintenance and production activities.
6. Initiate proper start up and shut down activities for planned and unplanned shutdowns/start ups.
7. Supervise DCS operators, follow up the process and modify the shop order in case of any deviation in samples results of raw material.
8. Supervise the unloading of raw materials: VA, AN, MA & TG.
9. Responsible for the preparation of Batches.
10. Applying the 5S -system in my area.
Responsible of different tasks concerning the new expansion (40, 000 MT/year), Installation, Piping, Hydro-testing, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning & Start up of the following:
1. Water Treatment Plant: Capacity 270 m3/hr.
2. Effluent Treatment Plant: Capacity 3170 m3/day.
3. Brine chiller: Capacity 1860 TR.
4. Cooling towers - Induced Draft, 3 cells: Capacity 885 m3/hr per cell.
5. Air Compressors: 2000 m3/hr.
6. Spinning line (maintenance for different types of PHE).
7. Raw material -Tank Farm Area (VA, AN, TG tanks).
8. New Poly & Dope area.
9. Co-ordination and supervision for the design & erection works related to the expansion Fire Fighting system (ware house, Switch gears, DCS rooms & main fire hose cabinet).
10. QA - Cleaning and painting the second hand equipments from FISIPE (Spain) following to the consultant "CHEMTEX" procedures.
11. QC - Welding as Visual inspector (level II).
Also good experience in the arrangement of the followings:
• Procurement of new equipments.
• Dealing with suppliers and contractors.
• Preparing technical comparatives.
• Preparing work schedule and Punch list.
• Reviewing for drawings (P&ID, Layout, UDD & piping).
• Preparing cost estimation for piping and installation.
Supervise and coordinate activities of Installations, Commissioning and Startup of the following units specialized for water treatment plants:
• Manual and automatic Sand filters, Multimedia filters, Birm & Carbon filters.
• Softening Units.
• Reverse Osmosis units (RO water)
• De-mineralization units (DM water)
Point of research: Removal of heavy metals from industrial effluent using ion exchange resin inside a spouted bed. Published Paper at Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers Title of the paper: Investigation of the performance of a batch air spouting bed in conducting ion exchange reactions involving heavy metal removal (February, 2015)
Graduation project: Removal of heavy metals from industrial effluent using chemically modified sawdust. Grade of graduation project: "Excellent"
