• Planning the construction of the different structural elements, in conjunction with the Zone Manager, well as being responsible for executing the set plan according to the international safety standards by conveying to the junior Engineers and supervisors.
• Responsible for all finishes phases (e.g.: block work, plastering, painting, suspended ceiling, curtain walls, marble/stone, doors, etc…).
• Coordinating with the planning department regarding all the look ahead schedules (planned VS actual achieved) as well as preparing the production quantities for all the different activities to monitor the performance percentage.
• Chair a weekly meeting defining and enforcing the minimum production targets for the work crews.
• Ensure that the technical content of the drawings and instructions are conveyed to the junior engineers and the site supervisors, and that their output conforms to the drawings and specifications.
• Monitor the performance of the workforce and/or subcontractors, ensuring that they are working to surpass the required targets.


• Preparing all purchase orders and following-them-up throughout the whole procedure from checking the several material (e.g.: tools, scaffolds, equipment, columns shuttering, etc…) to insuring its' being acceptable as per the quality plan required. This is done through coordinating between both the procurement department and the main project warehouse to ensure delivery of the requested material on time and to prevent any unexpected project delays.
• Define the immediate requirements of the section of work managed, and ensure that these are ordered in advance to prevent delay.
• Liaise with QS staff to ensure accurate records are maintained of all of the works carried out that may be recoverable as extra costs.
• Act upon recommendations given by the site safety inspectors.
• Carry out the duties of the temporary works supervisor
• Ensure that all the non-conformance reports are acted upon and returned to technical engineer without delay.
• Maintain all plant and labor records for the section of work being managed. Also, Compile the handover documents for the requirements of the output from the night manager, and receive and act upon the feedback from him.
• Keep a daily diary of all site occurrences, delays, plant on site, weather records, labour on site, and labor movements/shortages.
• Liaise with the concrete, lifting, scaffold and formwork co-coordinators to ensure the site requirements are given in ample time to perform works without delay.
• Compose method statements and risk assessments for the tasks being performed in conjunction with the zone manager, and ensure that through the junior engineers and supervisors, these are conveyed to the man on site, and recorded.
• Enforce JV policy upon the site and workforce, direct or sub contract.
• Co-ordinate the operations of both the direct labors trades, and the sub-contract trades, to ensure maximum output, and a safe interface between trades.
• Maintain all permit to work systems and procedures.
• In conjunction with the site quantity surveyors, and planners, ensure that the manpower, plant and equipment is managed to achieve maximum efficiency, and relates to the production output.
