Schedule deliveries and pickups with transportation companies or internal staff
Manage a warehouse stock inventory based on predicted requirements
Oversee and supervise logistics personnel
Use computer systems to monitor performance levels and quality control
Ensure compliance with health and safety and other legal requirements
Use predictions to allocate staff according to need
Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
Tracking and fixing shipping errors
Preparing bills and invoices
Managing distribution and shipment budgets
Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Coordinate all shipments for all locations
Follow schedules of product distribution
Work with carrier and third-party services
Document invoices and payment postings
Correspond with customers; report client requests
Assist logistics coordinator, warehouse specialists, and other team members when needed to meet schedule
Ensure shipping carrier requirements and regulations are me
Notify customers if shipments are delayed
Track shipments details, locations, ETAs
1- Oversee the allocation of staff to terminal equipment and terminal locations
2- Overseeing general terminal / equipment housekeeping duties.
3- Assist with the general control of yard activities
4- Control under crane operations to ensure optimum productivity figures.
5- Maintain good relations with vessel personnel for smooth operations.
6- Ensure safe working practices are followed by all staff.
