Assist in reviewing of design engineering of Cathodic Protection system for pipelines based on the international codes and standard for 17Km, 41Km gas pipelines.

Ensure compliance with Cathodic Protection systems and standards. Assist in the research, design, coordination, analysis, monitoring and evaluation of assigned CP system.



Execute coordination & supervision Cathodic Protection discipline from start till commissioning activities and start up for cathodic protection system for 17Km, 41Km gas pipelines, which includes installation of test points, impressed current components (such as rectifier transformer, ground bed), sacrificial anodes, polarization cell.

Check the coating quality during the period of installation by using the holiday detector.

Control commissioning surveys, AC & DC interference survey & interference mitigation.

Perform Installation Supervision and Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities and start up for Galvanic Anode Systems.

Provide technical supervision and technical assistance to other divisions within the company.

Provide on-job training and work guidance to cathodic protection Technicians.



Operation and maintenance of cathodic protection system for 42, 17Km Gas pipelines; periodically check the system components (rectifier- transformer, insulating joints, polarization cell, surge arrestors, and sacrificial anodes), independently conduct various field tests (e.g. structure potential, soil resistivity, current requirements, etc.)

Conduct interference testing and coordinate bonding with client and affected companies.

Check the coating quality of buried pipeline by PCM device.

Measure, record, analyze, and evaluate field data.

Supervise all types of surveys, as well as perform surveys as needed.


Analyzing the interference between the induced voltage by HVTL and CP system associated with the pipeline.

Follow up the chemical treatment process by using the sufficient inhibitors to internally protect water storage tanks.

Follow the breakdowns reports to analyze the repeated failures and works on finding solutions and suggestions to avoid its impact on the workflow and the production quality and submits it to the Sector Manager.

Implement the (weekly, monthly, annually) process and maintenance report to management section.

Operation of CP system by using SCADA system

Placing orders for required spare parts and equipment's for replacement and ascertaining the proper documentation.



Prepare corrective action for CAR (Corrective Action Request)

Reviewing the risk assessments and applying the required schedules associated with HSE department.
Monitoring the financial performance and gain control over it so as to ensure the best profit of the company.
