Head of office of Structure & Equipment Design at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • My current job since January 2016

1- Supervising Engineering work for issuing repair plans of structure and equipment within overhaul procedures.
2- Design of spare parts by reverse engineering - sometimes designing complete assemblies - and determining governing dimensions and materials alternatives and - sometimes - method of production.
3- follow-up production steps for prototypes and providing technical support during mass production.

Chief Specialist, Mechanical Design at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • My current job since January 2019

1- Supervising Engineering work for issuing repair plans of structure and equipment within overhaul procedures.
2- Leading a Research team for Solar Lighting.

Head of office of Assurance for Design Drawings and Process Sheets at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • January 2015 to December 2015

1- Revision of design drawings for completeness, clearness, compliance with standards and quality procedures.
2- Revision of Production process sheets for completeness, manufacturability and compliance with standards and quality procedures.

Senior Design Engineer at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • January 2013 to December 2014

1- Design of spare parts
2- Preparing engineering plans for non-systematic repairs within overhaul process.

Technical Office Engineer at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Renewable Energy Project
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • April 2011 to December 2012

1- Technical support for wind turbine project: Erection, installation of 1.5 MW wind turbines.
2- Design of the solar PV tracking structure for a mobile desalination unit powered with 2400 Watts solar PV modules (the structure is 2-axis tracking, it is also foldable for transportation considerations).

Senior Design Engineer at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • July 2009 to March 2011

1- Design of the non-systematic repairs referring to the design principles and specification of the product.
2- Mechanical design for spare parts: preliminary design, design drawings and prototype production (including changing production techniques to more available techniques, sometimes innovative)

Senior Design Engineer at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Helwan Factory for Developed Industries
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • October 2008 to June 2009

1- Membership in research team for blade design and prototype production of a small wind turbine (20kw), under supervision of the British University in Egypt (BUE)
2- Design of 18m lattice tower for a (20kw) wind turbine (including making a general program for instant calculation of loads and deflections for any wind turbine lattice tower).

Design Engineer at Arab Organization for Industrialization - Aircraft Factory
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • November 2000 to September 2008

1- Design of the non-systematic repairs referring to the design principles and specification of the product.
2- Mechanical design for some structural/mechanical products and reverse engineering design for spare parts: preliminary design, design drawings and prototype production

Production Engineer at Arab Aluminum Company
  • Egypt - Ismailia
  • June 1999 to October 2000

1- Attempting some extrusion die correction trends in order to avoid production defects and, after settled, feedback to the die designer which led to change some of dies’ designs permanently for higher productivity.
2- Independent attempts to model the extrusion process using FEM software SAP90 by various techniques and examining various physical models led at the end to the development of an experimental MS-QuickBASIC program that formulates sequentially successive input files to SAP90 for plastic deformation extrusion process performed gradually through steps, then viewing and examining the resulting 3-D shape for the final extruded profile. The program was intended to be used as a virtual tool for die correction to try various correction techniques on the computer first to avoid several die trials which will contribute to extending the die lifetime and decreasing press idle time and decreasing scrap.
