1. Design, install and configure WAN and LAN.

- Develops short and long range network design and architecture plans for many Data Center facilities.
- Design, configuration, and deployment of new network environment services and enhancements to include routing, switching, firewall, and Voice Over IP.
- Provides technical support, direction, and supervision including the duties of interviewing, hiring, assigning and monitoring work, and conducting performance management.
- Insures projects and tasks are completed on time in order to meet the critical network and security needs of IT and all district locations.
- Develops configuration standards across all network equipment in order to ensure integrity of these systems and the services they provide.
- Documents and logs all changes to network equipment software and hardware configurations.
- Provides status reports on operation and maintenance activities as well as project and task status to management.
- Manages all network related projects, tasks and upgrades and coordinates networking resources as needed to insure project success.
- Establishes and maintains security policies, best practices and procedures.
- Establishes training plans and documentation for networking staff to achieve the Districts’ project needs and goals.
- Maintains Information Technology inventory records of all wide-area and local-area network hardware and software as well as coordination of repairs and quality control tests.
- Supports critical systems after hours, nights and weekends as needed.
- Conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of RTD, working effectively in a diverse work environment.
- IT infrastructure plan, roadmap and budgeting.
- Responsible for information technology planning and leadership.
- Project planning and analysis with high profile doumenation.
- Brings major information technology issues before the Higher Managements, including policy proposals, new initiatives and strategic plans.
