- Incorporated the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (HSR) in existing four stage travel demand model of
Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) in CUBE Voyager.
- Examined the variation in the ridership of metro, suburban rail, bus and other public transport system with and
without HSR.
- Assessed the accessibility of peripheral areas of MMR, especially Boisar, due to proximity of HSR station and
associated impact of the current intense activity areas of the region.
Review of ridership on 6 metro DPRs in MMR. (Client: MMRDA) Nov.’18 - June’19
- Reviewed the methodology, land use and transport system parameters adopted in the DPRs to arrive the
estimated metro ridership.
- Tested sensitivity of ridership varying fare structure, frequency, system capacities and value of time utilizing the
MMR travel demand model developed by IITB in CUBE Voyager.
Ridership estimation on revised alignments of Pune Metro Phase 2 Corridors. (Client: Systra) Feb.’18 - Oct.’18
- Updated the existing travel demand model developed for PMR in state-of-the art transportation planning
software CUBE, using primary and secondary data of base year.
- Developed the additional transport network including zonal maps with public transport routes.
- Estimated the ridership for various scenarios like ‘With Metro’ and ‘Without Mero’ and carried out the cost-
benefit analysis of the proposed metro corridors.
