Serving as a Brand Manager for one the biggest Retailer/Distributor in Oman with a team of 7 BA’s and 3 sales consultant under my management since 2015.
Job responsibilities include:
• Brand Exposure and Presence -Making sure the brands available under my portfolio are well displayed across Salam Retail Outlets and other distributors.
• Forecasting for catalogue lines, new launches and limited editions on a monthly/quarterly basis in order to make sure the sales remain consistent and improve during peak season.
• Annual budgeting, forecasts, A&P expenses, marketing activities reports to be sent to the principles.
• Ageing stock clearances/promotions plans to be made and executed in order to maintain healthy stock situation.
• Booking exposures, organizing animations and launch events whenever there’s a new launch/re-boost.
• Team building and sales meetings with the staff or regular basis in order to make sure the work flow remains smooth and that the BA’s remain motivated.
• Organizing quarterly training programs for existing lines and new launches in order to well equip the team with the tools required to boost sales and provided optimal client servicing. If need be, then organize training internally so that the BA’s are up to date with everything.
• Weekly market visits to each doors for stock check and other follow ups.
• Making sure all merchandising and advertising guidelines provided by the principles are met.
• Attending seminars and training programs by the principles in order to maintain rapport, providing performance reports to the principles and identifying areas where there’s a room for improvement.
• Coming up with special incentive/promotional plans in order to boost sales and motivate staff.
• Regularly staying in touch and meeting the store managers and local distributors to provide ideal work flow for both parties.
