Review the expenditures claimed to ensure that expenditures were made in accordance with Financing Agreements signed with the POs.
Compliance with financing agreement (financial management related clauses) between PPAF & PO
Validation of linkage between PPAF’s Financial resources with PPAF reported outputs
Review the effectiveness of POs policies, controls and systems in place to ensure that PPAF and POs policies and regulations are followed
Ensure follow-up on issues and corrective actions
Identification of potential risks
Identification of technical assistance and training needs
Providing necessary support for managing Compliance Function of North Region in the light of approved Compliance Programme.
To ensure that the products we offer are compliant with SBP regulations, transactions performed by our customers are legitimate and our systems and branch network are not used for money laundering and Financing Terrorism.
To ensure implementation of FATCA Guidelines.
Conduct compliance review visits as per guidelines stipulated in the approved Compliance Programme and forwarding such reports to the concerned Hub / branch.
Review of Compliance submitted by the Hubs / branches in respect of SBP / External / Internal Audit reports / Compliance Reports.
Conduct, On / Off Site visits to poor / substandard branches as per direction of President & CEO.
Provide guidance to the branches to ensure that they are fully complying with the Bank’s own policies and procedures and the Banking Industry’s best practices.
To review the data of transactions of all branches and raise EDD with the branches. Further, the transactions over certain threshold are sent to the branch for review and identify unusual transactions, if any.
Review the response received from branches regarding various transactions and raise further queries to ascertain whether the transactions are suspect or genuine.
Reporting of CTRs / STRs.
Review and analysis of system generated AML & KYC alerts.
Top Depositor exercise-Annually.
Periodic Review of eCDD-Monthly.
Collection / preparation of data for regulators / external agencies.
Implementation of Clean Note policy.
Any other task assign by HoC/Compliance Manager North
• Support the audit manager in compiling and filling all financial, logistics, administrative and programme information.
• Perform the due diligence of potential implementing partners and prepare a training plan on the weak areas.
• Follow up with the relevant departments for training and development of implementing partners.
• At the end of the projects, ensure the centralization of all compliance folders at main office.
• Facilitate the country compliance review process once the project has been terminated.
• Ensure the compliance of all audit recommendations/action plans under the authority of country Director.
• Comply with the Audit department code of conduct.
• Facilitate the preparation of the country external audits conducted by the conducted by the Donors/External audit.
• Support internal auditor while auditing the Finance, Logistics, HR and Administration internally.
Conducting comprehensive Audit of branches in capacity of Team member.
Accepting responsibility and accountability of audit work performed.
Identification of risk associated with the banking operations.
Testing of controls implemented by Internal Control and management.
Report to Management about internal control weaknesses, Override/lapse of Operation Control. Preparation of audit file and working papers.
Ensuring that all audit findings and recommendations are promptly communicated to the top management.
Review of AML/CFT regulations Preparing Ratting of Branches on the bases of audit reports.
Preparing reports containing observations, comments and recommendations based on carried out work.
To enforce the regulatory compliance throughout the bank.
To visit branches to make sure the compliance of SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) guidelines.
To monitor the transactions to make sure they are in compliance with AML (Anti Money Laundering) Act 2010.
CTR (Cash Transaction Reports) and STR (Suspicious Transaction Reports) to FMU on daily basis.
To liaise with central bank (SBP) and different law enforcing agencies which includes NAB (National Accountability Bureau), ANF (Anti Narcotics Force) and FBR (Federal Board of Revenue).
To liaise with other departments of bank to guide them according to Prudential Regulations of Central bank.
Transaction monitoring to all branches & Preparation of EDD and follow up with branches.
Monitoring of Home Remittance Transactions as to ensure complete documentation in accordance with the bank policy.
Financial & Tax Advisory Services
Application of International Accounting Standards, Technical Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.
To finalize financial statements(General Ledger on SAP) on weekly basis and analyses cost centre wise expenses as per requirement of management for expenses under supervision of Financial Consultant.
Timely preparation of all deliverables including Bank Reconciliation, Receivables and Payables, Receipts & Payments on SAP & ORACLE.
Preparation of Salary Worksheet according to Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.
Preparing Calculations for Withholding Taxes of Salaries, Services rendered, Sale of Goods & Rent of Immovable property.
Application of new technical pronouncements and identifying areas of potential risk.
Foreign Reporting in accordance with the instructions of the Group.
To assist Financial Consultant in preparation of monthly and weekly report of expenditures.
To prepare vouchers and posting entry in the system after approval of Financial Consultant.
ACCA MEMBER
