Develop and implement environment, health, and safety policies and procedures at the KKIA project.
Liaising with the construction team and management regarding environmental, health, and safety initiatives and concern.
Promote EHS performance improvement and lead, develop, and monitor the performance of the KKIA EHS team.
Support the management of the audit schedule in line with the agreed line assurance plan, participating in line-managed and corporate audits, and including the preparation of audit team requirements as required.
Update the EHS documentation during all the construction phases when deemed necessary.
Check that the subcontractor's activities are performed in accordance with all the EHS applicable procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure that the agreed procedures and regulations are followed.
Organize, plan, and participate in periodical EHS walkarounds, inspections, and audits on site; prepare the relevant reports and action plans; verify the follow-up and the timely execution of the corrective action.
Monitoring the demolishing activities of MEP at the Terminal-1 complex includes restaurants, airline offices, government departments, hotels, banks, commercial shops, mosques, fire stations, operation centre’s, passport control offices, elevated roads, apron and airside facilities, etc.
Support the project team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues.
Support the EHS manager in ensuring EHS compliance at construction and office sites.
Develop and implement EHS training for the project, including orientation, hazard analysis, and safety leadership.
Attend pre-job, planning, and client (Egis) meetings and weekly walkthroughs as required on EHS-related matters.
Ensure training, daily toolbox meetings and drills are implemented as part of construction site training and EHS program, i.e., emergency response system, etc.
Ensure all workers are EHS compliant with company policies and safety standards.
Ensure the safe operation of MEWPs and close monitoring at site.
Identify potential hazards and immediately rectify unsafe acts and conditions.
Ensure compliance with near-miss reporting, i.e., carrying out preliminary investigations of each near-miss and communicating findings to all parties concerned.
Participate in accident investigations and lead the teams to identify the root causes of accidents.
Maintain and update the EHS action item list and communicate the daily safety officer’s observations with concerned department managers.
On-time and accurate response to fire emergency conditions and situations.
100% monitoring of the contractor's activities and ensuring complete safety compliance, i.e., checking all works are carried out under the PTW system and maintaining complete inspection records.
Coach and mentor direct reports and project team members to improve EHS skills and competencies.
Assist in the development of terminals 1 and 2 of the of the KKIA project-specific EHS procedures.
Verification of safety arrangements and compliance for air blowing, steam blowing, lube oil flushing, chemical cleaning, hydro jetting, nitrogen purging, heater refractory dry-out, leak tests, radiography tests, inerting, etc.
Responsible for HSE monitoring of all activities undertaken by the respective contractor(s) within the package or asset unit area.
Lead the daily, weekly and monthly HSE targeted assessments for followings:
Temporary facilities, scaffolding, first-aid/medical station, eyewash station, environmental health, industrial hygiene, working at height, naked flame works, pressure testing, radiography test, confined space work, LOTO, permit to work, and job safety analysis.
Lead the Weekly contractor scheduled and driven walk-through HSE Audit/Inspection.
Coordination and responding to HSE inquiries from clients, subcontractors, and operational personnel.
Coordinate with the trainer regarding HSE training requirements and record-keeping, and update and maintain the Compass training matrix.
Monitors and tracks to close out all out-standing corrective actions identified in assessments and inspections conducted.
Participate in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and reporting, together with recommendations for corrective actions.
Ensure that the HSE observations database identifies each contractor and allows for the entry, tracking, statistical trend analysis, and close-out by the contractors of all observations made.
Relieve the contractor from their duties in the case of non-compliance or violation of standards, company rules, procedures, instructions, and applicable legislation.
Provides leadership and mentoring of all HSE supervisors in the package.
Evaluate and provides the feedback to the HSE manager with initial and periodic evaluations of HSE staff supporting functions within their assigned area.
Recommends to the HSE manager on any changes needed or challenges faced within package / asset unit area.
Follow up work and punch list closing, centred on PMC HSE observations and PSSR walkthrough.
Participate to review RA/JHA, WMS and relevant document prior to issue PTW for all activities.
Participate, monitor and assist the respective Asset during any Root Cause Investigation.
Other duties as defined and requested by the Packaging Centre HSE Manager or Designee.
Area Specific HSE Guidelines to assist the Asset’s and their respective Contractors with compliance to KRP HSE requirements.
Identify and communicate to the HSE Manager a leave schedule that identifies all requested leaves on an annual basis.
Sound knowledge in construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
Safety Survey of site safety conditions at Airside, all terminals (departures, arrivals, intermediates, and service levels), demolition of the admin building, operation building, and all services of the airport.
Analyze feedback from auditing and inspections to make appropriate changes to airside safety management procedures and their implementation.
Providing feedback to the project HSE manager regarding abnormalities.
Conduct fire risk assessments of all Gloucestershire Airport-managed buildings and sites, ensuring any issues identified are recorded and acted upon.
Developing emergency response plans for in-terminal operations as well as conducting safety inspections and audits, occupational health surveys, surveillance, and field audits for compliance.
To liaise with on-site contractors to ensure their compliance with company safety regulations and adherence to safety standards, including basic safety induction training.
Arranging display and maintenance of publicity materials on site bulletin boards, posters, safety signs, and distributing safety literature.
Fulfil the role of ‘Competent Person’ in relation to fire safety.
Liaise with the General authority of civil aviation to ensure that the aerodrome and surrounding area is free from obstruction and safeguarded.
Develop and maintain a health and safety culture at all levels within the organization.
Follow-up and closure of daily AECOM HSE observations and weekly walkthrough comments.
Ensure PTW and LOTO compliance for all work permits and jobs being carried out during the shift start.
Operation shift handover consistency verification and checking.
Attend daily site, weekly safety meetings and participate in weekly safety walkthrough to review HSE requirements of operation.
Coordinate, conduct and attend daily tool box meetings prior to start the shift.
Ensure that waste management processes are followed for normal waste and apply waste management principles.
Ensure that all aspects of chemical management are understood and followed as airport policy.
Monitor the implementation of the airport traffic management plan at project.
Keeping all HSE records in files; and other related works assigned from time to time by the HSE manager.
Assist the safety manager in conducting a full investigation of an accident or incident, including near-misses. Determine probable causes, develop, circulate, and enforce appropriate permanent preventive measures.
Carry out a daily site survey to closely monitor false work and scaffold erection and dismantling work, permit-required confined space entries, lifting operations, hot work, equipment, and similar hazardous activities, and ensure that all relevant requirements are followed.
Responsible for issuing disciplinary action on all safety-related violations. Submit recommendations regarding safety incentives to workers who have shown safety compliance and set a good example among themselves.
Conduct work safety awareness programs for the company and contract subordinates.
Monitor implementation of all related HSE procedures, plans and polices at site.
Fully aware of all preparation of HSE statistics during execution of the project.
Provide technical advice, guidance, and mentoring to employees on Safety initiatives and necessary changes, and also promote a friendly climate; create a strong team spirit, good morale, and cooperation.
Planning and organizing health, safety and environment orientation and trainings (working at heights, confined spaces, lifting operations, excavations, Defensive Driving) of employees.
Monitor the safety performance of all on-site workers to ensure that all workers on the site work in a safe manner.
Ensure first aid facility and welfare facilities for workers are in good condition.
Conduct daily TBT and site inspections with HSE of NHC and PMC/SCEC.
Follow- up on site HSE issues.
Sets up safety signs and signage’s at the designated place and ensures they are visible enough for all workers to see.
Develop the permit to work system, and safe work procedure for all activities.
Take pro-active measures to identify hazard, assess the risk and then implement suitable control measures to eliminate all dangers.

Maintain all safety related documents such as, weekly tool box talk, orientation/ trainings record, Safety statistic reports Accident/Incident and Non-conformance Reports, Weekly, Monthly Equipment’s inspection reports, Fire Extinguisher Report Investigation/observations reports, Injuries reports etc.
Review and align the document as per project specific requirements (Risk Assessment, Method Statement / Job Risk Assessment JSA, permit to work procedure system) came from Hyundai Engineering & Client.
Participate in Accident / Incident Investigation, accident trend analysis and follow up with Hyundai Engineering and Client.
Conduct random check/audit to evaluate and verify that project specific safety induction/orientation and Training delivered to the relevant employees by the trainers.
Implementing Company’s HSE Policy and site HSE System including Safety Management Systems SMS and auditing randomly to verify compliances.
Ensuring all personnel complied with the company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
Ensuring all personnel complied with the Permit to Work system while working on construction site and in live areas.
HSE compliance monitoring and auditing of site activities.
