Data Network Supervisor responsible for leading different Mobinil Data Network Core Projects implementations
Responsibilities:
* Planning the implementation for Mobinil DN projects.
* Reviewing DN projects KPIs with top management.
Achievement:
* LTE trial, integrating new GGSN, SGSN, and Flexi into production network.
* Inter-AS connectivity with the TX Backhauling network to carry AoIP.
* CRS-1 to CRS-3 Upgrade
* XR12000 PRP-2 to PRP-3 Upgrade
Leading the implementation of the PRP-2 to PRP-3 upgrade for Mobinil core GSRs. Reviewing the implementation configuration and leading the installation team.
Data Network Sr. Engineer responsible for Maintaining Mobinil Data Network Core Services.
Responsibilities:
* Implementing all core network changes and configurations on core devices. (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, MPLS TE, CE-PE VRFs and its routing protocols, and L2/L3 VPN)
* Implementing different services migration over Data Network Core.
* Implementing Mobinil Core projects and new services migrated to IP Core network
* Ensure the redundancy of all core network devices and services.
* QoS configuration and monitoring for all core links (STM4s, STM1s, 10G and local 1G links)
* Maintain the availability of critical network elements and services.
* Daily checks and monitoring on Core network
* Minimizing the number of Severity 1 and Severity 2 cases during the year.
Achievement:
* DN Core Redesign
Proposed a new design for VoIP migration. Cost saving by redesigning the network maintaining same availability while reducing the needed Transmission links with 12%.
* Data Management (SDM): Plan to handle more than 40 Million subscribers
Implementing and configuring SDM network. Finishing the Implementation of the project on 4 different sites 2 weeks early than its delivery date.
* 10G LAN Expansion
Installing the new 10G modules on MLSs, GSRs, and CRSs with all new fiber links in 5 different sites:. Upgrading the traffic to the new links with zero downtime on all the services.
* Fail over Scenarios
Planning of a Fail over scenario testing to ensure the network availability on both network devices and links. Finishing the Implementing the project on 6 months. (More than 40 Device with more than 200 links)
* IOS Upgrades
Upgrading GSRs and CRS IOS XR From version 3.8.1 to 4.1.0, and IOS upgrade for 6500.
* Cost Saving:
Redesign several sites to avoid extra BW.
Working for Cisco Systems as a NCE (Network Consultant Engineer) Resident at Egyptian Company for mobile Services (Mobinil) responsible for Core, Corporate, and Packet Core networks.
- Implementing Layer2 and Layer3 services migration from ATM to MPLS.
- Implementing QoS on both access and core MPLS devices.
