As an Deputy Manager in Sales and Marketing, I play a pivotal role in driving the success of the company through a combination of strategic planning, consultative sales, and effective relationship management. My responsibilities include:
1. Business Development and Market Intelligence:
- Spearheading business development initiatives with a focus on high-performance coatings and advanced polymer composites.
- Conducting market intelligence and research to identify opportunities for growth in the target sectors: Marine, Oil and Gas, Offshore, EPC, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Defence, and Maintenance Chemicals.
2. Demand and Lead Generation:
- Generating demand and new leads to increase product revenue by implementing various brand-building activities, especially for newly launched products.
- Utilizing consultative sales techniques to understand client needs and tailor solutions that address their specific challenges.
3. Industry Engagement:
- Engaging with diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, steel, defence, marine, nuclear, power generation, offshore, chemical, navy, petrochemical and more.
- Providing technical expertise to solve critical maintenance issues arising from corrosion, erosion, and cavitation in the industrial sector of Maharashtra and Goa.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivating and managing strong relationships with key clients, including Tata Power Co Ltd, Reliance, JSW Group, Mumbai Port Trust, and various other industry players.
- Ensuring client satisfaction and addressing their needs through effective communication and problem-solving.
5. Coordination of Online Leak-Sealing Activities:
- Coordinating and overseeing online leak-sealing activities using thermoset polymer injection, particularly for challenging conditions such as high temperatures and different media (acid, hydrocarbon, steam) in high-pressure plants.
6. Sales Target Achievement:
- Taking ownership of achieving annual sales targets assigned by the company.
- Implementing effective sales strategies and collaborating with the sales team to meet and exceed set objectives.
7. Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiating contracts with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring alignment with company objectives and policies.
8. Team Management:
- Managing and leading a sales team to collectively achieve organizational goals.
- Providing guidance, support, and motivation to the team members for enhanced performance.
In summary, my role involves a comprehensive approach to sales and marketing, combining technical expertise, client relationship management, and strategic planning to drive business growth and meet sales targets in the specified region.
