• Assist/Lead all IT administrator in remote sites in addressing and resolving IT related issues
• Assist in Managing a proactive relationship for 3rd party application development and
programming consultants
• Provide SQL administration in live and test environments then verify database integrity
• Participate in monthly meetings with the IT Core team to discuss progress and issues to be
resolved; and report progress on a monthly basis to the CIO / IT Manager
• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues to provide first level support and
troubleshooting for ERP systems and other legacy systems in Descon.
• Installation of software applications at workstations so that end-user(s) can perform those
assigned task(s) in efficient and effective manner.
• Impart training to end-users on respective software applications
• Maintain and log all BA’s inventory of hardware i.e. computers, printers, scanners, projectors, switches and LAN/WAN accessories
• Maintain and update a record of the BA’s all users emails(leavers/joiners report), NT accounts (Active Directory), Security groups and share the same with Pakistan Core IT team on monthly basis.
• Liaison with Etisalat internet provider to provide internet/phone facility for new UAE BA
projects
• Design and implement network plan for project sites
• Manage IT Helpdesk portal for ticket registration that includes bugs, new requirement, user
management, data correction, system implementation and system improvement.
• Ensure company ICT policies implementation and procedural requirement before user account
activation and rights/roles assignment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows server 2003, 2008, 2012, Active Directory, DHCP
• Maintain Panasonic PBX
• Manage the CCTV system download and backup the recordings and provide the specific date as
per request
• Comply with all QA/QC standards (DIMS standards) as applicable to the company systems,
policies and procedures.
• Maintain Video Conference equipment and ensures good quality when connection with other
BA’s (Pakistan, Qatar, Sharjah)
• Report directly to General Manager of Descon UAE

Responsibilities:
1. IT Administrator
• Supervise the IT Services Team in the delivery of IT services to different internal clients (project teams and network users)
• Direct the team in the implementation/enforcement of IT policies
• Review and propose strategies to improve IT infrastructure for enhance services
• Coordinate with Telco service providers
• Coordinate with clients (internal and external) regarding their IT service requirements
• Ensure complete IT service coverage to all shifts; this includes support tickets
• Train and guide IT Services Team
• Troubleshoots problems and create root cause analysis
• Manage multiple internal IT projects
• Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
• Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure
• Create a backup and recovery policy
• Setup security policies for users.
• Maintain and optimize company website and internal systems
• Providing IT support to computer users within the office
• Providing troubleshooting training to users
• Maintain company network infrastructure and make necessary changes

2. Safety Officer
• Monitors workplace activities to ensure that employees comply with company policies and government safety regulations.
• Apply the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training to the workplace
• Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
• Provides recommendations that can help prevent future accidents
• Help promote OHS awareness

Responsibilities:

1. Programmer
• Maintain and develop various in-house programs
• Direct software testing, quality assurance, validation procedures and documentation
• Conduct and assist in technical training courses for users to enhance/improve productivity in using the software

2. SAP Business One Administration
• Installation of SAP B1 in terminal server
• Upload data using Data Transfer Workbench
• Editing print layout reports using reporting tool of SAP B1
• Maintaining user licenses and authorization given to users
• Making query that suites users report
• First level support

3. Database Administrator
• Ensuring database is up and running
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the databases and servers
• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the databases and servers
• Planning database backup ensuring all data are successfully backed up to its appropriate storage media including off site backup and tape backup
• Testing database backup in a certain period
• Installing and maintaining windows server (2003, 2008, 2008 R2)
• Performs daily server monitoring verifying the availability of hardware server
• Performs ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades for virtual server (Hyper-V)
• Create and maintain remote desktop server for SAP B1 and SAPA1, this include adding new users and monitoring the performance

4. SAP A1 Basis
• System startup/shutdown
• Maintaining Development, QA and Production server
• User Profile creation and testing
• Performs Local and Remote Client copy
• Handles requests such us transport (DEV to QA to Production server), printer definitions, etc.
• Creating master, derived and composite roles and assigning it to right users
• Creates documents (configuration, transport processes, upgrades, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and workload analysis

5. SAP Business Object / Business Intelligence Administrator
• Ensuring the availability of Development, QA and Production server
• Creates Report for management
• Create and modify user account
• Schedules report and assign them to its appropriate viewer
