Key Functions and Responsibilities undertaken:
▪Carried out material quantity take-off related to Civil/Architectural/Structural works from IFB Drawings, design drawings and shop drawings.
▪Reviewed and cross-checked BOQ Bill Item descriptions with Scope of work documents to identify and raise any conflict or clash of requirements for the tender project.
▪Updated the schedule of quantities and prices periodically, in order to verify that the assigned and available budget are sufficient for implementing the works elements that are indicated on the design and shop drawings
▪Raised RFI/TQ during Tender and Post Tender Stage both verbally and in writing to effectively cost the work requirement in full compliance to the project specifications
▪Prepare RFQ packages to Vendors for acquisition of competitive commercial and technical offers as to be potential Sub-contractors, Suppliers during Tender, post tender and Construction Stage
▪Assisted in variations analysis, recommendations, and management, in the review of contractor's monthly progress, contractor's final invoices and in preparation of project progress or cost reports for the firm
▪Participated in commercial negotiations with contractors especially with those associated in additional contract works and change orders.
▪Carried out on-site inspections to verify site conditions, work accomplishments and available realistic resources during Pre and post Contract as required
▪Provided Pre and post contract technical and commercial support such as tender and contract documents including bills of quantities, preliminary Project Schedule, Project Construction approach and other required technical documents
▪Calculated correct and market-oriented costs for project-specific materials and services by gathering information from team members, sub-contractors and vendors as defined in the project scope and technical specification for tender and on-going projects.
▪Worked and coordinated with multi-disciplinary engineers, designers, purchasers, suppliers and contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
