Project: USAID Youth Power is a $23 Million, supports positive youth development for at-risk youth
using positive youth community development approach.
* Supervise and mentor the Senior Learning Coordinator and 5 Field Learning Officers, two each in
the southern/Ma’an, center/Amman and northern/Irbid regions.
* Mentor the team of youth facilitators throughout the USAID YP program.
* Contribute to the do - no harm policy and make sure that the staff members are working
accordingly.
* Develop the Transformational Learning curricula for youth 19-29, adolescents 15-18 and children
10-14 years old.
* Develop the Train the Facilitator (TtF) guide for youth facilitators.
* Partner with education and learning CBOs and NGOs in Jordan to exchange manuals and lessons
learned.
* Select youth facilitators from each target community to attend the TtF and join the facilitators’
team.
* Write proposals for new concepts that will be added to the educational content.
* Prepare and conduct the TtF for the selected facilitators, in addition to evaluating them.
* Work with the Senior Learning Coordinator and the Field Learning Officers to guide youth
facilitators through the preparation and conduct of youth sessions.
* Design and supervise youth sessions (number of sessions /hours to be determined by the size and
number of population of selected community).
* Develop and deliver learning sessions to build capacity of staff, partners and project beneficiaries.
* Support USAID YP staff in designing and implementing workshops/sessions.
* Maintain a copy of data for all facilitators and youth enrolled in USAID YP program sessions.
* Prepare weekly progress reports which will report on all ongoing activities, with a focus on the
achieved goals.
* Ensure the implementation of learning best practices throughout USAID YP project
Reports to: Program Manager
Project: Strengthening social capital and reducing tensions between Jordanian host communities and
Syrian refugees, a 24 Million £ project funded by UKAID - CSSF.
* Develop strategies on mapping conflict sensitivity in the targeted communities.
* Conduct capacity building trainings for the staff members.
* Ensure the timely preparation of the Conflict Management training manuals for both trainer and
trainees for 5 levels; review the text and preparing it for print and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Lead the knowledge management and sharing among MC programs and the program staff.
* Write activities, monthly and quarterly reports related to capacity building.
* Coordinate logistical preparations of the workshops and preparations of all materials;
* Prepare and track attendance lists, and ensure proper documentation for the trainings;
* Assist in coordinating the preparation efforts, ensuring a safe working environment for all
people involved in project implementation.
* Deliver Conflict Management and Negotiations trainings for Syrian & Jordanian community
leaders within the host communities. The training is Interests’ Based Negotiations developed
from Harvard School Program and Getting to Yes book written by Roger Fisher & William Ury.

* Plan the annual work plan for the social marketing campaign along with the partners and the
stakeholders.
* Translate documents, manuals and newsletters.
* Provide interpretation in workshops, conferences and meetings.
* Conduct briefing sessions for stakeholders and partners.
* Notetaking and report writing proceeding each conference.
* Provide coaching and mentoring for the team of translators and interpreters.
* Prepare the log-frame based on the main indicators and plan the budget accordingly.
* Write and proofread the factsheets, press releases, booklets, and promotional materials.
* Organize and manage workshops and sessions with the local and governmental partners.
* Assign roles and duties for team members (7 team members) including training sessions on
outreach and events management.
* Plan and conduct thematic events.
* Writ progress reports in both English and Arabic.
* Communicate and network regularly with the governmental entities such as the Ministry of
Interior Affairs, Higher Youth Council and Ministry of Health.
* Refer to USAID branding policy for billboards, prints and contacting the media.
