Key accountabilities as a Biomedical Engineering Manager
• . Manages the provision of Biomedical Engineering services including implementing effective policies, procedures, processes and systems, to ensure compliance with all relevant SBAHC requirements to match with the international standard accreditations• Leads implementation and ongoing improvement of biomedical engineering management programs, including operational standards and effective industry specific key performance indicators
• Provides data to the top management for analysis of department operations and performance as required
• Provides support for all medical equipment services in terms of service, delivery, efficiency and cost effectiveness, and professionalism.
• Perform the technical evaluation for new medical equipment and review the equipment acceptance as per requirements
• Demonstrates an on-going commitment to service quality improvement, and ensures a high level commitment to professional job performance and customer service throughout the city
• Promotes and maintains effective communication systems within the department that ensure the team work together towards achieving the departmental objectives
• Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
• Supports the implementation, maintenance and modifications as necessary for an effective paperless, Equipment Maintenance program incorporating accurate data, relevant histories, efficient preventive maintenance schedules and flexible reporting needs
• Active member of facilities management and safety FMS to cover all medical equipment management under JCIA guide lines
• Acts as a part of the orientation program for the new staff about medical equipment and biomedical engineering communications
• Performs all duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner and Supports all biomedical engineering departments’ resources and activities in relation to the city objectives and set targets
• Maintains current knowledge in international equipment testing devices and quality management issues and applicable standards
• Represent the Biomedical Engineering Department in all meetings and acts as a key person for the new projects
• Manages the day-to-day maintenance of a quality management system including the identification of risk issues, conducts investigations and audits and ensures corrective and preventative action are taken to mitigate the risk.
• Management of equipment service contracts, warranty compliance
• Conducts performance reviews for reporting staff, by setting measurable goals and objectives and incorporating city’s vision and values.
• Skilled in the use of electronic medical equipment database “ GE Asset plus” programs and well Understanding of automated different test equipment concepts.
• Apply cost containment program for minimum cost of operation
• In view of the developing and changing needs and opportunities within the city as a part of the standard comity for reviewing and updating the policies and procedures.

• Certified Healthcare Safety Professional “ CHSP “
• Coordinate all aspects of the hospital-wide general safety programs, emergency preparedness plan and all safety related activities,
• Responsible for the day to day operational needs involving the safety and protection of hospital staff, patient, visitors, hospital housing and all hospital properties.
• Chairperson of the Safety committee
• EOC team leader
• JCI - FMS team leader
• CARF- Health & Safety team leader
• Active member in quality council committee
• Active member in JCI standard committee
• Active member in Hospital Policy and Procedure Committee
• Organizing all safety events in the hospital such like Safety Fair
