Lead field engineers in operation and maintenance of electronic equipment in support of Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) aerostats and its associated equipment including, but not limited to, MX20 Lite camera systems, RF telemetry systems, fiber optic transmission systems, video distribution systems and computer terminals. Perform testing of electronic components, modules, sub-assemblies, and systems using test procedures, automatic or manual test stations and common test equipment. Diagnose failing products, generate repair processing, and suggest corrective actions.
• Conduct Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations in austere environment in conjunction with U.S. and NATO missions.
• Conduct surveillance operations in support of force protection and anti-terrorism operations, Liaison for U.S. Army, NATO, and other defense contractors.
• Provide accurate map grids to targets using Miranda, Claw II software.
• Process video and create DVDs for the Army using the BYN DVR, Microsoft Movie Maker and CD Burner XP software.
• Use Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word to provide timely reports to Lockheed Martin and the US Military.
• Provide weather reports and lightning warnings using the Novalynx, STORMSCOPE and Vaisala Lightning and Weather system and software.
• Operate, repair and maintain electronic equipment in Ground control station to include: Sony and Panasonic Video Monitors, Norpak Video Processors, Extron Video Amplifiers, Nevion Flashlink Optical signal processors, Cisco Routers, Bridges and Firewalls, Emhiser Research Inc Transmitter encoders, Core Systems general computers and Emerson Backup Battery Power supplies.
• Repair and troubleshoot fiber optics using: Fitel Fusion Splicer, OTDRs, Laser pens and Fitel repair kits.
• Monitor and operate all Aerostat and Mobile Mooring Platform systems using GSHS and PSHS specialty software on Ground Control Station and Platform computers and control consoles.
• Operate, repair and maintain Mobile Mooring Platform systems to include: 3000 psi hydraulic system, electronic SCADA system, power distribution system, winches and tether winch drum.
• Perform high pressure helium refill on Aerostat using 3000 psi helium tankers, gas flow meters and hoses.

• Use of mechanical tools: drills, taps, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, box and open end wrenches to mount all electronics boxes, switch boxes, outlet boxes to platforms and trailers.
• Mount cable clamps on platform to plant power, control, and video cables to all components and systems of PTDS platform.
• Use wiring books and block diagrams to plant power and control cables in system boxes using wire strippers, crimpers, lugs and bare wire connections.
• Wired up Hydraulic control, Power distribution, Converter control. Cushion control, level wind, control interface, 400Hz generator boxes.
• Completed build-up and installation of platform and drum slip rings.
• Performed fiber-optic splicing on tether using Fitel fusion splicer and repair kit.
• Terminated coax cable for tether monitor camera using high reliability soldering and wire termination techniques.

• Use touch typing to enter parts and work orders to logistics for processing.
• Work with and develop plans, and provides work assignments to lower level employees.
• Ensure technicians have proper TMDE to complete assignments.
• Responsible for providing PPE to workers and resolve any safety issues that arise during work.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Lead to keep Preventative Maintenance and regular maintenance of Mobile Launcher Platform on schedule for support of Space Shuttle.
• Lead team of 7 fellow technicians in performing multi-winch lift of heavy (20 & 10 ton) engine service platforms.
• Use Operations Intercom System (OIS) to receive instructions and communicate compliance during remote operations.
• Collaborates with USA engineering, planning, quality control, and NASA representatives to improve, develop, and maintain Work Authorizing Documentation (WAD); and also to improve the performance, quality, and reliability of space systems and components.

Mar 2003- Oct 2008 United Space Alliance Cape Canaveral, Special Assignment Integrated Network Control System Group (SCADA system)

• Supervieor & formed INCS (SCADA) Lab for major mod on Launcher Platforms.
• Worked from drawings, schematics, verbal (audible) instructions, diagrams, equipment specifications, engineering instructions, documents, test procedures, vendor manuals, wiring lists, standard and process specifications, and other technical written instructions.
• Using metal punches, hand drills, countersinks, and pneumatic Bolhoff Rivnut guns, placed rivnuts into drill pattern for mounting of PLC chassis’s, DIN rail and Panduit wire channel to back panels.
• Mounted circuit breakers, ground fault monitors, terminal blocks, PLC chassis’s, Optical Control Modules, fuse blocks, switches, Computer screens, etc… to DIN rail on backplanes.
• Routed wire through Panduit wire channel and planted wire component to component and terminated wiring harnesses to terminal boards with crimpable lugs of various gauges or bare wire connections.
• Develop, test and built special tools for project to include: 100 & 61 pin test cables, harness checkout boxes, unistrut rolling carts to hold completed panels and boxes in excess of 500 pounds.
• Learned Codesoft 6 wire label program to write and print thousands of wire marker labels for the tens of thousands of wire connections in panels.
• Detailed knowledge of Integrated Network Control System (SCADA).


Apr 1991-Mar 2000 United Space Alliance Cape Canaveral / Aerospace Technician Mobile Launcher Platform Group

• Performed maintenance on space craft ground support equipment to include: 250 - 500 amp power supplies, Hazardous Gas Detection Systems (mass spectrometry), 3000 psi Hydraulic pumping units, high pressure (6000 psi) pneumatic and gas panels, 19, 000 pound winches, 12, 500 pound winches, 400 Hz generators, battery chargers, environmental control systems, cryogenic systems with liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, high voltage SRB heater systems.
• Repair and replace various components
• Used schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting of anomalies and broken equipment.
• Ran new cabling, terminated cable connections
• Connected and spliced fiber-optic cables.

Completed Rockwell Automation Logix 5000 fundamentals course in June 2004.

Special Equipment
