Position: Telecommunications Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
Inspection of new Fiber Optic Cable Installation and testing
Monitor construction project in relation to IT related system
Monitor Transmission system and equipment performance
Installation, termination and commissioning of fiber-optic cable for telecommunication purposes
In-charge for maintenance and repair for Fiber Optic cable network for communications purposes
Splice and repair various types and sizes of telephone and other telecommunication cables including single line, coaxial and fiber optic cables
Transmission System (OTN, and other relevant Systems), operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling.
IPTV System operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Video Conference operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Telephony System operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Clock System Controller operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Cabling (including Fiber Optics, Copper, and Coaxial), distribution, maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities

Position: Telecommunications Engineer/Fiber Optics Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
In-charge for maintenance and repair for Fiber Optic cable network for communications purposes
Coordinate with contractor for new Fiber Optic Cable Installation and testing
Monitor system and equipment performance
Splice and repair various types and sizes of telephone and other telecommunication cables including single line, coaxial and fiber optic cables
Installation, termination and commissioning of fiber-optic cable for telecommunication purposes
Transmission System (OTN, and other relevant Systems), operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling.
IPTV System operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Video Conference operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Telephony System operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Clock System Controller operation and maintenance, performance evaluation, upgrades, and Material/ spares handling
Cabling (including Fiber Optics, Copper, and Coaxial), distribution, maintenance
Perform fiber optic cable pre-installation test, document fiber loss for acceptable readings to meet customer specifications
Termination in patch panel and distribution ports, optical distribution frame
Performs fiber optic cable splicing as per client specifications
Record and document all fiber test results (splice loss test, optical laser source and power meter test and end to end fiber loss test, OTDR Testing)
Analyze diagram for fiber optic installation and termination as per client specifications
Ensures all fiber optic cables installations passes ARAMCO standards
Install and examine switch boxes, conduits feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial assemblies for industrial uses
Install and terminate coaxial and fiber-optic cable for telecommunications equipment and electronic control system and fire alarm systems
Installation, termination and commissioning of fiber-optic cable for CCTV and telecommunication purposes
Carry out commissioning of new equipment, systems and technology.
Perform high quality fiber splices of various specifications
Investigate, analyze, report and repair irregularities, faults and actions taken at the optical network, system or equipment level
Monitor system and equipment performance.
Coordinate and liaise with personnel to assist in the rectification of faults as required.
Prepare and maintain system documentation, procedures and reports etc
Ensures an effective and smooth operation both inside plant (Headend) and outside plant at all times. HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coax system) CATV system
Plans and designs for company expansion or development projects
Coordinate with logistics regarding the availability of materials needed for development projects and other outside-plant activities.
Assists outside-plant activities such as Fiber Optic cable laying and splicing, Coaxial cable laying, housedrop installation and other related activities.
Monitors engineering personnel and technical crews to guarantee the delivery of quality service to the subscribers.
People handling by knowing and enforcing all appropriate company policies and labor laws.
Proper implementation of work programs and timely feedback to immediate superior.
Ensures an effective and smooth operation both inside plant (Headend) and outside plant at all times. HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coax system) CATV system
