1. Monitor and enforce the Safety and Health plan.
2. Coordinate with and report activity to the HSE Manager.
3. Assist in the project Safety supervision and in the development, implementation and monitoring of JHA for subcontractors.
4. Indoctrinate new employees, including subcontractors, about the Health and Safety plan.
5. Request all Safety, First Aid and Fire prevention equipment required and see that it is maintained.
6. Make daily inspections of the construction site, material store, stock yards, protection barriers, barricades and signs.
7. When required, participate in inspections conducted by consultant, or local inspections. See that all violations are corrected immediately.
8. Coordinate monthly subcontractor site coordination safety meetings.
9. Maintain records of “Tool box” meetings and keep on file on project site.
10. Investigate all accidents, fires and near misses and make recommendation to eliminate future occurrences.
11. Post warning notices in all hazardous areas and enforce company’s safety rules and regulations.
12. Advise management and facilitate obtaining of relevant permits.
