Manage and direct day to day station functions, ensuring effective station operations in accordance with commercial
practice to achieve NSW Trains business objectives and provide a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Develop strategies to promote business growth, objectives and strategies collaborating on key performance indicators
(KPI), operating budgets for the stations and change management to ensure business objectives are met.
• Provide positive leadership and direction to staff, managing, motivating, guiding, assisting, training/coaching to promote
professional skill development and driving the achievement of individual/group goals through collaboration and teamwork.
• Lead by example acting as a role model, mentor and professional and proactive team player, demonstrating integrity,
diversity and professionalism in all areas of business through coaching, feedback and performance management.
• Effectively coordinate staff management initiatives, successfully delivering training to hundreds of employees on business
principles, best practices, protocol and system usage.
• Empower staff members to contribute to continuous improvement, quality and growth of the company, creating a positive
work environment for employees, implementing training/development programs to successfully exceed retention targets.
• Maintain customer service standards and created an environment that meets or exceeds customer needs and expectations
by providing exceptional customer service, including security and safety at the stations for customers and staff.
• Ensure customer requests, queries and complaints are resolved promptly and effectively to promote a positive image of
the station and NSW Trains.
• Partner with the upper management to identify and solve complex strategic problems to drive organisational goals and
thus improve the overall productivity of station operations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, employees, management and stakeholders, building and fostering strong
relationships and rapport, exhibiting cultural awareness, confidentiality, discretion, tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
• Proactively identify and develop strategies to improve customer service, upholding compliance and following customer
service principles to achieve established objectives.
