-From December I returned to iOS and was assigned to a large mobile project where I’m in charge of improving their internal app, used to help in-store customers, and in the near future, upgrade it to Swift UI.
Here, I had to talk to one of the payment framework providers in order to help them understand why the framework was not working for us. After that, I was in charge of refactoring a flow in the app, from Viper to MVP and modularize this in order to be reused in their other apps.
- The client also asked for my opinion for a future change they want to do in the app. For this, I’ve quickly created a change in our app to accommodate their needs.
The client showed this to the board members and the feedback was very good. So, starting with April, the client will hold a test trial to see if the demand, from the customers, is there or not.
- Got promoted to Senior Consultant
- Returned to my old 2017 Java project, to which I’m still offering maintenance and where I held the role of a Manager and Full stack developer.
I’ve successfully scoped, estimated, delivered and sold enhancements. Everything went very smooth, and I received awesome feedback from the client.
- From June 2020, I was assigned to develop and help with the release of another mobile project. This went very well, I rebuilt the bond between us and later in the year, I also worked overtime to create a POC which later led to another development contract with our company.
- From August I was assigned as an iOS Team Leader for an internal project. Here, I was in charge of scoping and integrating Apple Pay.
- I was assigned to a mobile project in Sweden, having a Finnish client with two developers per team.
- The project was due in November 2019, but after that, the client was very satisfied with my work and, because of that, they moved the project in Bucharest. This was a great achievement, that I managed to earn incremental revenue for the company.
- We hired an Android Developer and together, in January, we released the apps in the stores. After that, we helped the client build their own dev team.
- I was assigned to build an internal mobile app which was going to be used for a raffle at different IT gatherings.
- The app was used in two of these IT gatherings and more than 300 people signed up. The app was presented on an iPad and was using Firebase, MailGun and Lottie services.
- I had to add multiple features to my old Java project. I had to keep close contact with the client in order to manage this properly.
- Succeeded in delivering these new features and since then, I’m still offering maintenance services in parallel with my current assignment.
- Finished my second European project and will start a new business from 2019.
- Switched to mobile development from January 2018. The client's HQ is in Vienna and I had to travel every week, from Monday to Thursday, until the 29th of November. I was part of an amazing team there and together, we delivered Release 1 with a big success.
While working from 9 to 18 as a mobile developer, I've also worked as a Java developer from the hotel.
- Got promoted to Consultant, after just a year with Deloitte Digital. Also, my Year End 2018 performance rating, was SEE (substantially exceeded expectations) for which I'm extremely grateful! This is the highest rating offered by Deloitte and was achieved by less than 10 people. The fact that I'm one of them, after one year with the company, makes me very proud!
- At Deloitte, on the first project, I worked with Java, Heroku, Spring, Git, Jasper Reports and Postgres for backend. The UI was made with JSP. I had to migrate data from MySQL to Postgres, solve report bugs, implement a new functionality and create unit tests which are measured by SonarQube. Had to keep a close connection with the client's chief officer in order to get a better understanding of what needed to be done and what solutions I had.
- After finishing this, I was assigned to a Scala project. We were assigned to repair the policy tool and was actively involved in the Kanban processes that implied closely interacting with the client and delivering solutions with focus on the quality and improvement of the public-sector application that I was responsible for.
- In my free time, I started working on a mobile app. First, I used Android Studio with Firebase and then developed the same app for iOS.
- My goal for 2016 was to learn Java and in order to achieve it, starting from March 2016, 3 days a week I worked in Oracle ADF and in the other two days I was finishing an application in Oracle Forms.
- Starting from May 9, I moved to another department to learn Java. In the first week I read OCA Java SE 7 Programmer I Certification Guide and starting from the second week I worked with Java, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Plugin, Maven, Liquibase, Junit, Struts 1, Magic Draw and Jasper Reports.
- In 2017 I moved back to my old department where I was assigned to an international project. My task at the time was to develop a project with Angular 2.0 (with Typescript) for front-end modifications and Java for backend development. Also, once or twice a month I need to be at our client located in Oman.
- Besides the tools used until then I worked also with Sublime Text, Angular 2.0 with Typescript and Pentaho Report Designer 7.
- First two months - modifying existing objects like packages/views/procedures/triggers/etc.
- Solving bugs / implementing new functionalities in a project used by an avg. of 350 people/day
- Starting from September 2014: the company gave me a new project that I had to develop almost from scratch. I used Oracle Forms and also Oracle Reports.
- After two weeks in the project, I had an intern assigned to the project and together, working by CMMI standards, we finished the project in June 2015 with all the deadlines in time.
- The project consisted in a registry type application which is used by an avg. of 100 people/day from different counties.
- Starting from October 2015 I had to repair an old application from a department of the National House of Public Pensions. This meant that for three months I had to work with our client from their office. This particular client was a bit upset because of the company's decision to delay the repairs until then and so, I had to regain their trust. Not only that I gained their trust and repaired the application, but I also got two letters of recommendation from the Chief Operating Officer and from the General Director.
- Resolving issues introduced by the Level 1 Team.
- Held training in two counties for 70 people.
- Had access to multiple oracle databases.
- Requested to be assigned to multiple projects, from which two on my own - talking to the client, resolving issues, making monthly situation for financial reasons; Used by 100 persons/day.
- SQL - interrogating databases, modifying database objects in order to solve tasks/bugs.
