Maintenance Supervisor/Lead
Rolling Mill Central Maintenance & Engineering and Utility.
• Supports vendor and contractor in commissioning and start up activities, meetings. Mechanical equipment inspection and installations walk downs, in rolling mill and utilities.
• Review mechanical equipment list, vendor OEM, work instruction and EHS, standard maintenance procedures.
• Support development in eAM asset hierarchy, asset registry, asset field verification, Pd.M./PM, RCM, FMEA’s, BOM and Work instructions uploaded to oracle.
• Maintain Critical Spares List and spare parts • Develop maintenance practices and procedures based on manufacturer’s recommendations and/or best industry practices
• Supervises central mechanical maintenance activities in Rolling mills, Utilities plant and RM central workshop with multicultural technicians. Supervises central maintenance which includes HVAC and EOT Overhead Cranes
• Support for the development and implementation of safety procedures for the installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical systems. Ensure adequate training of all maintenance personnel on safe maintenance work practices.
Manage, supervises, plans, executes and controls the operation of GTS workshop and field services such as Gas to liquid, petrochemical, oil and gas plants.
Manage skilled manpower of various skills total of 80 men, HSE and QA/QC, planner, inspection engineer, supervisors, mill wrights, machinist, rotating equipment technicians, electricians, CAD draftsman, welders and fitters.
Maintain and ensures that MAN turbo and standard maintenance procedures, quality control and assurance are implemented and followed.
Directly manage and supervision of the overhauling repair and of MAN diesel turbo equipment such as MAC/BAC compressors, turbines and gear boxes and other critical rotating equipment, pumps, hydraulics gear boxes, drive motors and mechanical seals including installation, testing and commissioning. Review SMP maintenance procedures continuously.
Manage workshop operation on balancing machines capacity 10 & 20 tons, boring, lathe and milling machines, fabrication works and dimensional inspection and run out.
Manage fabrication works structural steel, piping systems, skidding tracks and lifting beams, turbine/gas compressor rotor and casing supports, tanks and vessels.
Monitors and enforces compliance to Environment, Health, safety work practices at the workplace and housekeeping, policies and standards.
Rotating Equipment Engineer (March 2010 to present)
• Provide end-user inputs to support rotating equipment activities including engineering reviews, mechanical discipline related technical specifications, design drawings, layout plans, data sheets, project procedures, execution methodologies, and implementation schedule, SMP and vendor technical information.
• Monitors installation, commissioning and start up of the plant specific rotating equipment and machinery. Reporting the test results and findings through the applicable systems.
• Participates and carry out reliability studies (RCA and RCM methodology) and analyze complex on recurring problems relating to rotating equipment recommending appropriate solutions.
• Monitor reliability and quality assurance on rotating equipment carried out in field inspection and shop testing, repair and overhauling, troubleshooting, reliability improvement review, maintains and updates equipment drawings, code and standards, standard maintenance procedures, OEM/vendor specifications.
• Witness critical rotating machinery repair and overhauling activities, providing direct guidance and countermeasure on findings.
• Prepare new maintenance procedures, method statement for new activities and schedule long term activities as per plant shutdown schedules.
• Support and participates in the inspection of all plant rotary equipment and auxiliaries, including centrifugal compressors, reciprocating and centrifugal pumps, turbines, fans and blowers, gear boxes and electric motors.
• Carry out assessment and support rotating equipment health condition vibration monitoring, oil analysis and equipment inspection.
• Identifies bad actor/poor operating conditions, maintain equipment history records, schedules and check-lists and provides technical advice to Plant operation and maintenance on repair and overhaul requirement and recommendation.
Manage all Plant Hire Maintenance and Operation for heavy machinery fleet comprises service Heavy equitpment, trucks and light vehicles
Manage and implement Preventive, Corrective and Predictive maintenance programs and planned activities for all heavy machinery, trucks and fleet equipment and load in the CMMS.
Maintain all required records, documentation and certification of machinery, mechanical for all equipment, and produce accurate and timely reports on use of this equipment.
Ensure the availability of adequate spare parts for mechanical equipment through the inventory system, both for routine maintenance and to cover unscheduled maintenance or replacements.
Manage Logistic and Purchasing responsibilities involving parts and external repairs, and spare parts management.
