• Preparation of tax projections of group companies and making compliance with tax policies & procedures by formation of sound intern control system
• Doing Business process re-engineering by developing a process for Tax accounting and reporting
• Risk assessment of Transfer Pricing (TP) related policies and guidelines for inter-group transactions and analyzing transfer pricing and fair market value issues in the light of OECD TP models and local statues
• Estimating the monthly, quarterly and annual tax liabilities of the companies and suggesting options to minimize the tax exposures
• Co-coordinating with corporate tax & legal advisors for taking up the company’s appellate/SECP and legal matters and if necessary directly representing the company’s case before authorities as and when required in order to meet organizational and corporate goals
• Developing Annual Internal Audit Plan (AAP) in order to address the critical areas for control improvement of group companies especially fertilizer business
• Charged with the responsibility of preparing internal audit compliance procedures for proper execution of audit procedures and to meet the audit objectives
• To ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures and prescribed SOP’s framed to achieve intended objectives and efficient execution of work
• Perform Pre-Audit activities in accordance with approved guidelines to ensure that processes are being followed and practiced in its entirety including approval of Purchases Orders for procurements and subsequent payments to vendors thereof
• Executing assigned Post-Audit areas as per approved AAP and to report audit findings alongwith underlying recommendations to address and mitigate risk
• Carry out follow up of the reported audit observation findings for timely resolution of the issues involved
• Review the accuracy and completeness of records and procedures for internal control to safeguard group companies interests;
• Preparing periodic reports for the audit executive/audit committee and management summarizing results of audit activities
• Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of IT based controls encompassing the organization’s governance, operations, and information systems and recommending improvement therein
• Delegating work to assistants, supervising and reviewing of work performed by them
• Preparation, examination, analysis and review of financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant disclosures requirements as per the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ISA’s and local statutory laws and regulations
• Leading and management of field staff, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of the audit process
• Carrying out regular risk assessment procedures and system studies in current Oracle based ERP environment for diagnostic reviews and prompt reporting thereof
• Carrying out regular and surprise visits to various warehouses and sites for physical stock checks
• Performing special and investigating assignment assigned by top management from time to time on ad-hoc basis
• Managing the periodical financial reporting and analysis for management purpose and finalization of statutory accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Providing guidance to the ERP department for implementing the internal control procedures
• Responsible for ensuring that cash flow of the business operations are managed and working capital funds raised / credit lines are established to meet business requirements
• Ensuring that external audits are carried out as required and that no adverse comments of any substantive nature are reported
• Advising clients on general taxation matters including appeals, exemptions & refunds etc.
• Advising professional advice to the chief executive and heads of department and other managers as and when required in order to assist them in meeting their targets
• Responsible to carry out working capital management, cost minimization, profit maximization and ensure that day to day financial controls are within budgeted limit
• Supervise computer based general ledger, inventory, sales and fixed assets management information systems

This comprised of analysis and review of financial and non-financial information and reporting thereon both in individual capacity and as Team Leader.
I have been involved in rendering of audit, assurance and tax and legal advisory services to various clients in the diversified sectors like Fertilizers, Textiles, FMCG, Wholesaler cum Retailer Stores, Engineering, Agriculture and Construction, Pharmaceutical & Healthcare and Insurance / Services Sector etc.
