• Proposed innovative procurement solutions utilising suppliers outside the GCC region to achieve significantly improved prices (over 60% cheaper) and reducing the lead times to a fraction of those quoted locally
• Developed an Outpatient Clinic procurement plan that provided a blended approach which will result in the department meeting all its key milestones

• Leading various asset improvement projects. This included the development of the project proposals, designs, cost estimates, project plan and management of the subcontractors to ensure on time and on budget completion.
• Managing various environmental related projects to ensure enhanced energy efficiency and reduction in site emissions
• Developed the engineering graduate training programme in 2000 following the demerger of Zeneca Pharmaceutical from the Agrochemical business and prior to the full alignment with Astra Pharmaceuticals

Achievements:
• A rapid rise a graduate engineer to hold positions of significant importance and influence. The Works Rep role represented a huge vote of confidence being empowered by the stakeholders to represent their requirements.
• The youngest plant engineer on site resolving various start-up issues and becoming the resident expert in the equipment to be trusted to manage and lead the maintenance team for a £33M Chemical Manufacturing Plant.
