Job Description
• Working in ISO/IEC17025 and 9001 certified oil and gas lab as a Lab Chemist.
• Performing crude & petroleum product testing as per standard test methods
• Reviewing and authorization of certificates of Quality using LIMS software
• Actively participating in ISO17025 activities
• Dealing with customer complaints and joint testing
• Participate in national & international Proficiency Testing Programs of petroleum and waste water like ASTM, FAPAS, NPSL and Qarshi research industries to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
• Managing all laboratory issues related to sampling, testing, maintenance & calibration of equipment.
• Identification and fulfilling testing requirements during commissioning and during normal operation of plants.
• Technical and mechanical support for the installation of newly budget equipment.
• Preparations of (SOP) work instructions for all laboratory equipment.
• Purchasing and maintaining chemical, glassware and spare parts inventory in Lab.
• Responsible for R&D related to new Projects, additives and Petroleum Products.

Achievements
 Identified the source of N2 contamination in reformer feed & help in resolving low octane problem.
 Experience of lab scale testing regarding Reformer catalyst regeneration.
 Identifying High Sulfur as a reason for effecting nickel catalyst producing low purity hydrogen in Hydrogen generation plant whereas plant is design on 99.999% purity.
 Commissioning of newly purchased equipment.
 Supervise R&D on zero effluent projects.
 Optimization of blending ratios of plant products with metallic and non-metallic octane boosters to produce 90 RON PMG products.
 Develop water lab testing facility to meet the new testing requirements of newly commissioned plants.
 Mechanically developed contamination and water free sample injection system for Gas chromatograph.
 Performed R&D on four distillation plants for Furnace cracking unit and CCR study and shared data with Technical services for upcoming projects.

Sampling, quality testing and reporting of Used and Reclaimed Lubricating Oil.
* Purchasing laboratory equipment's, spares, glassware, and chemicals.
* Documentation and maintenance of laboratory.
* Follow and implement analytical procedures based on international standards (ASTM, IP)
* Prepare and Modify SOPs for laboratory equipment.
* Solving troubleshooting in equipment.
