Integrated Urban Development Project (IUDP) - Taiz -Governorate. Cost 22 Million Dollars (IDA Financed)

The Integrated Urban Upgrading Project (IUDP) are to: (i) improve access to basic services in select informal settlements in urban areas in Taiz Governorate, the project objective to improve public infrastructure services in three informal settlements. These settlements include: (i) Madinet Al-Nour, (ii) Al-Maftash and (iii) Al-Haraziya and Al-Arous. In each area, a multi-sectoral package of basic infrastructure and service improvements provided. This include a combination of upgrading of asphalt, stone and RCC paving roads and footpaths; extension and improvements to water supply and sewerage networks including provision of household connections within public right-of-way, connections to existing systems and provision of pumping stations and septic tanks; street lighting; storm water drainage in addition to other urban upgrading requirements of above areas. The length of structures completed as following:
Asphalts road 45km - stone roads 30km -RCC roads 13
Footpath 24km - Flood structures 3km - water supply28km
Sewerage 35km - Manholes no 1300 - house connection no. 2000 . - large septic tank no. 6
