• Worked in close correspondence with external vendors, database administrators, data architects to assess the type, scope, and sources of data available for responding to the business requirements.
• Coordinated with the data warehouse team for fixing of Data Quality issues and new aggregates development and deployment.
• Deployed Event Based Marketing Triggers on top of the data warehouse which automatically generates lists of customers immediately after the defined event takes place. Customers are targeted with BTL campaigns related to Retention, Non-VAS Growth, VAS Growth and Internet Growth.
• Created predictive models for Mobile Account (Mobile Money) acquisitions using SAS E-Miner for Telenor Pakistan Easypaisa team using a combination of data based on the subscribers’ GSM usage and their data of financial transactions through easypaisa. The mobile account subscribers’ base has grown tremendously over the past few months with the help of this improved targeting.
• Collaborated with the stakeholders to determine new/revised analytical and reporting needs and used guided and predictive analytics to address those needs.
• Provided qualitative and quantitative input to calculating the Net Promoter Score (NPS) of Telenor Pakistan by mapping the GSM usage behavior of a sample of subscribers with known NPS score on the whole subscriber base of Telenor using predictive analytics.
• Prepared periodic reviews of market trends & competition environment and kept the management updated with developments in industry environment.
• Ensured timely and accurate delivery of ad-hoc reports and analysis to business users.
• Successfully highlighted Returns on Investment (ROI) in advanced analytics by use of analyses/models in front end customer contact channels.

• Worked on the Behavioral Segmentation of Telenor’s prepaid base using advanced clustering techniques and algorithms in SAS E-Miner to identify consumers’ behavioral trends and to enhance consumer insight for better targeting through ATL and BTL campaigns. These insights truly helped the front end consumer channels in targeting the right set of customers with a right set of offers, hence, improving their offer uptakes.
• Applied statistical and data mining techniques on the customers’ GSM Data (Voice, SMS, Data etc.) for predicting their demographics and Socio-Economic levels (Gender, Age, Skill Level, SEC etc.). This positively improved the ROI from gender/age specific marketing initiatives.
• Implemented the Product Affinity Analysis using the Apriori algorithm in Teradata Warehouse Miner (TDWM) for identification of affinities (Next Best Offer) from a large portfolio of products to support various marketing initiatives like up-sell, cross-sell and new products development.
• Developed separate social pressure models with the help of customers CDRs to identify customers who were most likely to adopt services like Mobile Internet and Ring Back Tones (RBT) based on peer pressure. The campaigns delta showed an improvement by a factor of 1.7 when customers with higher peer pressure were targeted with these services.
• Prepared an incremental Uplift Model to support Marketing/CLM teams for selecting the right set of customers which had higher propensity to respond to offers, if any. This has resulted in more targeted campaigning and an increased qualification rate.
• Involved in developing the foundation layer for Social Network Analysis (SNA) using the CDRs of the customers. The results have been utilized to develop applications like product pressure scores, product virality scores, community layering and role segmentation of the subscriber base.
• Worked actively as part of the team which provided commercial as well as technical requirements for developing a Semantic Data Model (SDM) on top of the logical data structure of a database management system (CLDM).
