‒ Conduct outreach to identify persons with protection needs, prioritizing the most vulnerable, marginalized and invisible community members.
‒ Conduct sensitization and awareness raising sessions on key protection issues based on identified needs;
‒ Identify and refer persons with protection or other needs to appropriate services in line with safe identification and referral principles;
‒ Provide individual protection assistance to persons with urgent protection needs, focusing on the most vulnerable, including older persons at risk, women at risk (excluding GBV survivors), children at risk (excluding child protection violations) and persons with disabilities;
‒ Provide emergency cash assistance to address urgent protection concerns to eligible individuals, set a clear protection objective and follow-up on the impact of assistance;
‒ Collect, store, maintain and analyze protection data produced through outreach, community consultation, RIMS, individual protection and cash assistance in line with safe and ethical information management principles.
‒ Collect data on the individual and community-level, including through surveys, Key Informant Interviews, and Focus Group Discussions
‒ Draft individual work plan and participate in regular supervision, information sharing and coordination meetings.
‒ Support the Protection Team Leader with reporting processes, budgeting and needs and gaps assessments where relevant.
‒ Ensure the proper documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies) during prevention and PSS activities (attendance sheets, permission slips, consent, referrals etc.);
‒ Use IM tools and online platforms for timely and accurate data entry of the activities. In collaboration with IM colleagues, make sure data is properly entered, accurate and complete, to ensure proper analysis of the data.
‒ Conduct outreach activities to reach out to parents, caregivers and children in order to enroll them in NFE or formal education (regular continuous outreach, BTS etc.)
‒ Collect data of all the information regarding the child placement and follow up tests and other information related to the project activities
‒ Take care of the administrative/logistic needs of the schools and/ or the centers ensuring that the activities are carried out in compliance with the curriculum
‒ Guarantee the correct functioning of the transportation and snack service, and delivery of any learning material.
‒ Organize regular CEC meetings with parents in public schools and parents’ sessions/ meetings in the centers.
‒ Follow up regularly the activities in the schools by using the tools provided in the project and prepare small reports for the management if requested
‒ Maintain good and regular relationships with school directors
‒ Identification of children with special needs and referral to case managers
‒ Suggest and plan extra curriculum activities to be implemented inside or outside the learning spaces (schools and centers).
‒ Coordinate with the education specialist for the follow up of the teachers if requested
‒ Participate in project staff training with other AVSI staff
‒ Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor
