Eaton is an international company has branches in many country of the world.

we are about 1000 employ in Ankara, the main role for our company is to product MV switchgears/substations acc. the customer request/specifications.

During the production process i am involved in the following roles:


Checking the specification needed by client and implement the design accordingly.

Prepare the Single line Diagram and secondary wiring schematics for project acc. to the client

specification to be used by production team during assembly process for switchgears.

Prepare the bill of materials for the project.

Setting the protection relays.

Testing Metal Clad Switchgears.

Support/implement the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).

We were 13 employees have responsibility to implement the emergency and periodic maintenance for 66 kV side of electrical transmission substation(66/20 kV).

We were 2 electrical engineer in this department for 20 substations.

During my working here i focused on learning about safety, how to understand the wiring diagrams for substations, finding the fault and setting, testing and installing the digital protection relays.

Most of my job during this period was under the load/current. Setting the protection relays was self learning with support from my manager.

I replaced many protection relays and implemented the setting for 2 new substations as a kind of supporting for production team.

I dealt with OC, EF, Distance, differential, frequency...etc protection functions. Relays brands were GE, Micom, VAMP and ABB .

Testing for the relays was using ISA ART3 test relay. In the lats period of my work here i became head of protection relay, meters and measuring devices team.
