• Recruited most of the Billing experts for the EMEA organization and started up the Billing specialist presales organization in EMEA to support Sales all across EMEA (coaching, deals management, strategy with Product management…)
• Recruited most of the solution specialists and started the SIMEA regional presales Organization (From 2011) (coaching, deals management, territory management with Sales to achieve regional quota). Developed the team to be world-class consultants across BSS, OSS, Network, and SDP domains
• Maintained my technical skills and knowledge across BSS, OSS, and Network portfolios and engaged personally with customers and opportunities
• Personally managed and closed many deals in the region with Sales
• Stated a management team reporting to the CNA (Chief Network Architect) where I was in charge of defining and maintaining IT and Billing Architecture and strategy for Roshan - Afghanistan (subsidiary of Monaco Telecom Int)
• Defined the Architecture and strategy document in coordination with Roshan’s IT Director and got involved in governing the successful transformation projects as per budget available (Billing consolidation, Data warehousing / Business Intelligence, Blackberry, and was the project manager for the IN migration from Alcatel to Huawei)
• Started the Quality and Revenue assurance department from the ground up (recruiting people, enabling/coaching, developing the processes and procedures, as well as developed all revenue assurance controls and scripts personally) - Result was over 2% detection of Revenue leakage which was great for that function
• Assigned as the Head of Information systems department as well - managed successfully launching the VAS development unit which resulted in over 10 revenue generating USSD based services in less than four months
• Assigned as the Ericsson migration Project Manager managing virtual teams resulted in a successful migration (Swap) of Core Network, IN, Mediation, provisioning, and VAS platforms from Alcatel to Ericsson Network
• Started up the IT division from the ground up (people, Infrastructure, IT Network, IN system, billing system… from specifications to implementation and testing
• Personally developed the interconnect system for areeba Cyprus involving complex scenarios (National Roaming and MNP)
• Stabilized and consolidated the Databases across the IT organization
• Coached DBAs
• Personally developed a full data warehouse for the IN platform (Prepaid) end to end from Application to disk (with web enabled reporting) - Saved the company a big value instead of buying the solution from Siemens
• Performed a full migration of all billing system Unix scripts to TACL language when we moved to Tandem platforms
• Developed a lot of projects on my own (corporate intranet, mediation layer, FMS, Approvals workflow, and many more…
• This was my technical school for systems (Sun, Tandem), DBs (MYSQL, Oracle, MS SQL server) programming languages (C, C++, JAVA, Unix scripting, ASP, JSP…)
• Deployed and configured all servers (Sun) and Databases (Oracle) for the Mobile billing system there (ESKADENIA billing) within few weeks
• Personally developed an end to end rating and billing system for fixed line subscribers (PSTN and Panasonic switches): Mediation, rating, billing, invoicing, web light CRM, reporting along with implementation, testing, and CSRs training all in less than 2 months - probably my biggest joy in my career and I did it outside my job description as a DBA and Sys admin!
