Project Lead Sui Gas Sustainability Project - Revamping of Existing Compressor Trains
• Part of site team at decision making position for technical review & feasibility assessment of Siemens’s proposal, discussions on modifications of control philosophy & design selection, Siemens’ procedures & documentation review as well as site execution and commissioning plans during Revamping of 07 no. of existing natural gas compressor trains.
• Leading PPL site execution team during project execution and liaison with Siemens, GE and Voith BHS teams for ensuring smooth execution of Revamping of SML Compressors as per agreed Timeline and resources and with-in the allocated budget to achieve production sustainability goals.
• Participated in feasibility study, review of technical & commercial proposals and provide valuable input to finalize scope of services and supply while reducing overall project cost head.
• Review of various procedures and vendor documentation including stability analysis, balancing reports, QC plan, functional & utility lists, data sheets and parts lists etc., analyzing deviations and taking decisions.
• Strong follow-up with project department to ensure completion of Balance of Plant (BOP) study associated with revamping & implementation of recommendations after careful assessment & analysis.
• Participated in HAZOP, PSSR, MOC & JSA, and strong follow-up with all stake holders to ensure completion of subsequent action plan before project commencement.
• Ensuring quality execution of all site execution activities including dismantling, inspection, clearance verification, alignment and assembling as per OEM protocols.
• Verification of site acceptance testing, preparation of punch list and onward take-up with Siemens & GE for rectification and needful action.
• Training of sub-ordinates and technical staff for onward independent execution of project activities on remaining units.
Senior Engineer (Mechanical) at Sui Field Gas Compressor Station
• Implementation of predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance regimes of rotary equipment such as General Electric gas turbines, Demag/Siemens/Thermodyn multi-stage barrel type centrifugal compressors, Worthington multi stage reciprocating compressors and other plant auxiliaries to ensure their smooth functioning.
• Plan, execute and monitor maintenance activities and new projects along with effective utilization of resources, highlighting causes of deviation, defining of strategies to continuously improve project and maintenance execution plans.
• Utilization of condition monitoring techniques like Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Thermography & Borescopic Inspection for re-defining maintenance intervals and gradual shifting from preventive maintenance to predictive maintenance regimes.
• Hands on experience in carrying out major overhauls of rotary equipment such as Frame-I & Frame-III Gas Turbines, multistage barrel type Centrifugal Compressors, Industrial Gearboxes and Fans, etc.
• Achieve reduction in annual maintenance budget through in-house retrofitting, exploration of local resources, adopting new practices and other bold but carefully calculated decisions.
• Effective utilization of CMMS tools like SAP (S4 HANA) for maintenance management including through specialized functions like Tasks Lists, Maintenance Plans, MWOs, BOQs etc
• Improve overall safety culture & ensure compliance of corporate procedures as per ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards and liaison with third party auditors during Surveillance & Recertification Audits.
• Effective implementation of PSM procedures & utilization of Velocity EHS™ system for conducting HAZOP, PSSR, MOC, JSAs, Mechanical integrity and RCFAs as a PSM champion.
• Responsible for Inventory management and spares availability for scheduled & breakdown jobs along with procurement & tracking of spares for new projects through PRs, RFQs, TEs & POs, while utilizing SAP MM Module, IHS Struxure™ and a dedicated e-procurement portal i.e. Tejari™.
• Performing & leading RCAs for repetitive breakdown and high impact failures through in-depth study of systems, specialized technical and operational investigations, working with cross-functional teams and assessing causes & effects of various failure modes.
• Preparation of Specifications, BOQs, Scope of Work (SOW), ITB document & Vendor Acceptance Criteria for local as well as foreign services including supply of spares, repair or refurbishment of parts and other engineering services.

• Participation in preventive and corrective maintenance of rotary equipment such as Steam Turbines (Elliott CYRT), Multi-stage Centrifugal Pumps (Ingersoll-Rand Class HMTA), and other plant auxiliaries to ensure their smooth functioning.
• Preparation and execution of annual maintenance plans that include overhauling of natural gas Sweetening & Dehydration banks and associated stationary equipment.
• Preparation of annual REVEX & CAPEX budget & effective utilization of budget by forecasting scheduled activities and highlighting probable consumption of spares and vendor required services in liaison with Inspection Department.
• Preparation of material specs, performing technical evaluation for spares and correspondence with OEMs and vendors during procurement processing.
• Preparation of scope of work and supervision for In-house retrofitting of various aged equipment and identification of third-party services for local manufacturing of obsolete spares.
• Ensure compliance of Corporate QHSE procedures as per ISO 9001, 14001 & OSHA 18001 and safe work practices during routine maintenance and projects execution activities.
