The job role requires management and administration of Viva Bahrain’s Data Warehouse system (Oracle DWH) and Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management System. Responsibilities include:
• Timely execution and monitoring of the ETL process for readiness of dashboard reports for business end users according to agreed SLA
• Automation of ETL process using Shell Scripting in order to reduce to overall execution time, manual dependency and remote monitoring
• Ad-hoc report development on Oracle SQL based on requirements from commercial, finance and technology departments
• Maintenance of dashboard reports on Oracle Business Intelligence 10.1 for commercial stakeholders
• Providing support to Finance Revenue Assurance department in investigation and resolution of business critical revenue leakages and fraud cases
• Performing reconciliations between various network nodes and systems, including CRM, BRM and CBS recon and IN vs. CBS reconciliation to investigate and inform about data and revenue leakages

The job role requires timely and accurate delivery of ad-hoc reports based on user requirements extracted from DWH (Teradata 12). Responsibilities include:
• Understanding business user’s requirements and providing suggestions for an effective analysis, which includes customer trends, churn analysis, pre/post analysis, location-based analysis, pricing change impacts etc.
• Maintaining SLA with stake holders including Segments, Pricing, VAS, Postpaid, Financial Services, Micro-Segmentation, Sales & Distribution and Technology
• Detecting data quality issues and aiding DWH Operations to ensure the availability of accurate information in DWH
• Developing reports on Business Objects 4 based on user requirements

Job responsibilities included monitoring operations of BSS Mediation System (Evident 4.51, Evolving Systems) which handles CDR Collection from Upstream Systems/Network elements (IN, MSC, SGSN, SMSC etc. ), parsing the CDRs according to the defined business rules and delivering them to downstream systems (Postpaid Billing, Data Warehouse, Interconnect Billing etc. ). Job description also included implementing required configuration changes, point-of-contact for change requests with vendor/in-house development team, automating processes through shell scripting and troubleshooting. Also involved in the following trainings:
• Basic Six Sigma training and its application on Mediation system of Telenor Pakistan
• Conducted an In-house training on Linux and Shell Scripting

BSS Operations Officer - Interconnect Billing

Job responsibilities included monitoring operations of GSM Interconnect System (Azure, Subex), implementation/modification of new prefixes, tariffs, trunk groups, dispute resolution and smooth execution of monthly GSM Bill Run, which includes:
• Generation of Statements/Invoices of the respective GSM operators
• Data reconciliations with switch and Mediation system to ensure that the data transfers are leakage-free
• Keeping the error/failed CDRs below the threshold of SLA
