Developing the scope and deliverables of basic engineering (BEP), front end engineering design (FEED) & detailed engineering (DEP)
•Sizing and calculation of control valves, orifice, thermowell as per codes and standards
•Preparing instrument design basis, datasheets and technical specification for control systems and misc. type of instruments and HAZRDOUS AREA CLASSIFICATION
•selection of instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level, analyzers etc.)
•Cable selection/specification and preparation of BOM as per drawings and standards
•Technical evaluation and finalizing of vendor quotation and proposals to ensure the technical acceptance of instruments and accessories.

•Site location identification and confirmation, ensure effective & efficient inter - discipline coordination including coordination with client engineer

Construction & Commissioning /Maintenance
•Plans and strategize for work of instrumentation department based upon preventive maintenance and routine maintenance.
•Diagnosis & troubleshooting of field instruments, inspection of relay panels, visual inspection, calibration, and support in configuration of field instrument.
•Attending technical meetings, coordination & communication with contractor.
•Maintenance and shutdown activities of the plants.

•Installation, calibration, testing and configuration of major field instruments including transmitters & indicators, for temperature, pressure, level and flow meters & transmitters, recorders, pressure regulators, gas detectors, solenoid valves, control valves (I/Ps, positioners), motor operated valve, vibration instruments and stream process analyzers
•Installation of Junction boxes, LCPs, marshaling panel, system cabinets, fire and gas panel, flow computers Interconnection wiring up to FTA Cards and I/O modules addresses.
•Installation of cable tray system, conduit system, cable laying, cable testing and cable termination.
•Functional test, pre-loop check, final loop check, and trouble-shooting of instruments with hart and ff communication protocol.
•Responsible for working within the engineering standards and procedures & guidelines of QA/QC and client standards and procedures
•Voltage drop calculation for solenoid valves, power consumption calculation.
•Attending technical meetings with clients, review and defining scope limits, identifying specialist 3rd party service requirements.
•Support for construction activities like inspection, installation, calibration, troubleshooting, testing & commissioning of field instruments and valves and erection of cabinets.
•Coordinate with other discipline heads at the project site to review the overall progress in work and coordinate with them to assess any hold points that originate from a particular discipline.
