Reporting to Finance Controller & Director Finance for the following activities:
•Working as a Lead Shared-Service Contact for Off-shore Team of Accountants and guiding and leading them for Monthly and Yearly Financial Close.
•Supervising Financial Close for 10 Legal entities of the Group.
•Responsible for the scheduling and management of complete month-end accounting through the shared service center in India and making sure all the activities are executed in prescribed deadlines for all the business units and legal entities.
•Reviewing all the accruals and provisions, and other adjustments making sure the correctness of expenditure incurred.
•Review all the Balance sheet reconciliations to identify and mitigate risks.
•Guidance to Shared SSC (India) on queries related to ‘Procure to pay’ (P2P), ‘Order to cash’ (O2C) and ‘Record to report’ (R2R) as and when required by providing knowledge.
• Critical analysis on business units performance for management reporting, comparison of actual expenditures with Budgets & Forecast and provide necessary inputs for the management.
•Responsible for cost control through analysis of Purchase Requisition from various sections of business unit and ensuring that request is in line with Budgets.
•Support in external, internal audits and group internal financial review.
•Review the execution of group’s minimum financial controls listings and ensure the compliance.
•Review accounting for work in progress, percentage of completion procedures, revenue recognition, projects costing and ensure the validity of inputs from operations.
•Keen in identifying major risks and exposures in the all areas of the balance sheet.
•Manage the yearly stock count and identify risks in inventory management and provide recommendations.
•Managing the affairs of inter-group settlements in line with Group’s disclosure requirements with Middle-east and North Africa, Europe and other business regions to reconcile with their balances as per the SOP.
•Monthly value added tax reconciliation and filing.
Achievements
•Improved the quality of information for materials inventory, accrued income and WIP reporting of various multi-million dollars project for Electronic Security Services.
•Acted as Lead GL Trainer for the Off-Shore Shared Service Centre and successfully implemented the SSC in India through “Lift and Shift” approach to SOP. The project resulted in a saving of GBP 40K per month.
