o Technical issues:-
• Review and approval of shop drawings.
• structural works submittals:-
• Review and approve the company profiles.
• Reviewing Material data sheets.
• Reviewing Method statements for all construction activities.
• Reviewing RFIs and give solutions for any conflict after coordination with all other disciplines engineers, Coordinate with the Head Office designers and Statutory Authorities to resolve site queries, and Request for supplementary design information if needed.
• Reviewing RFIAs give recommendations for any change required as per contract requirements.
• Reviewing structural calculations related to construction work such as dewatering, shoring, formwork…etc. And all temporary works.
• Review the concrete design mixes and conduct the required trials mix.
o site work:-
• Inspect all work during construction for site work to insure compliance with the contract documents, approved shop drawing and material.
• Prepare JSI/NCR to contractor regarding construction matters.
• Witness on site testing of materials, record results, and order the removal and replacement of non-compliant materials, (e.g. slump tests on concrete, compaction tests, moisture tests on aggregates, etc.
• Order laboratory testing of materials as required by the specification and relevant standards. Record and review results. Order removal of non-compliant materials
• Ensure that the work complies with the requirements of the specification and relevant codes and standards.
o Quality control :-
• Reviewing reports, testing reports, material delivery notes.
• Monitor the structure which is being constructed, any adjacent structures which may be affected by construction activities and temporary structures, for any problems related to accidental damage, safety and/or stability. Alert the Resident Engineer immediately if any problems become apparent.
• Check materials delivered to the site for compliance with contract requirements.
• Carry out all factory visit and necessary inspection and prepare evaluation reports.
o Attend progress meeting with construction team and client
o Call for a technical meetings to discuss the problems of the site work and work on getting solutions.
o Attend coordination meetings and pre-construction meetings.
o Review contractor payments.
o Follow up the project progress as per approved CCS.

The Scope of work under this Contract comprises the Construction, Completion and Maintenance of the Administration, Educational and Student Services Building (AESSB) Complex for the PAAET campus in Shuwaikh having approximately 151, 000 m2 of Built up floor area in various buildings on site with an approximate total area of 130, 000m2.
1-Administration Building:-
The administration offices for the whole Shuwaikh Campus which is a high rise building consisting of approximately 53, 500m2 of built up floor area distributed over 23 stories and a basement floor
2- Educational Resources Center:-
Low rise linear building consisting of approximately 38, 000 m2 of built up floor area distributed over 3 stories.
3- Students Services Building:-
Consisting of Approximately 36, 000 m2 built up floor area distributed over 3 stories.
4- Theatre:-
Consisting of approximately 6, 000m2 of built up floor area distributed over 2 stories.
5-Mosque:-
Consisting of approximately 2, 500m2 of built up floor area distributed over 2 stories.
6- Central Plant
A single story building of approximately 4, 000m2. Services are connected to the other buildings on the Complex by underground duct system and service tunnels through the basements.

The Capital Tower project,
A signature project, conceived to be a landmark in the center of the Kuwait City Business district sits on 6393 square meters of prime land bounded by Ahmad Al Jaber Street, Jaber Al Mubarak Street, and Abdullah Al Ahmad St. This prestigious 350 meters high Landmark consists of a series of sinuous, curved elements that define a 17-storey luxuriously appointed hotel sitting on a podium housing five floors of retail outlets, restaurants, cafes, food court, recreational facilities including three cinemas and supporting facilities in addition to three basements of parking space and MEP services. A 66-storey office tower completes this sculptural composition at the intersection of the two main thoroughfares.
