My responsibilities includes the following: 1. Manages and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the section during the pre-award process of different company requirements, mainly for projects. 2. Recommends and obtains management approval on contracting strategy, selection and evaluation criteria, as required by company’s levels of authority. Reviews tender documents, contract type and compensation method and discusses with legal as applicable. 3. Establishes and obtains management approval on bidders pre-qualification criteria. 4. Manages the commercial evaluation of bids and approves techno-commercial evaluation. Leads negotiation meetings with bidders and directs the process of commercial, financial and contractual negotiation of bids. 5. Endorse final recommendations and submits the same for management approval. Attend Tender Board meetings and obtain Approval of Company level of authority on such documents, as needed. 6. Endorses claims and request for variations, applies his judgment and proposes negotiations strategies and meetings, and attends such meetings to settle claims. Endorse recommendations for management approval. 7. Provides input to management on the development and improvement of standard forms of contracts, sub contracts, and service orders as well as on the approval of deviations of tender documents / contracts from standard terms and conditions. 8. Provides, upon request, contract interpretation/procedures and close out advisory services to users administering contracts. 9. Assures contracts / services budgets are in line with commercial handovers and responsible for achieving awards within budget limitations. 10. Monitoring and evaluating performance of assigned personnel and help identify career development opportunities for employees. 11. Compiling lessons learned for consideration by Management. 12. Maintain standard work process procedure and work process improvement tools for contract formation.

Odebrecht is pursuing a contract with ADSSC - Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company to build one of the biggest pump stations in the world. It is part of the US$ 1.09 billion Abu Dhabi - Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Program - STEP. (Odebrecht contract is approximately 1, 300 million AED)

Project activities/responsibilities included the following:
 Managing project subcontracts team in all operations for the projects and monitoring the projects team’s implementation of the project in accordance with company policy.
 Providing guidance to personnel and other functional groups involved in contracts formation and administration.
 Participating in the preparation of the project Contract Management procedures and monitoring the subcontracts team’s implementation of the project procedures.
 Preparation of procedure, templates and logs for subcontracts preparation, applications for payment, requests for information and variation order issuance
 Managing the preparation of general and special conditions for use in all project subcontracts/purchase orders ensuring the flowdown of requirements from the head contract.
 Managing the pre-award meetings, negotiations and contract finalization with all subcontractors/suppliers.
 Managing the subcontracts and purchase orders administration tasks including issuing change notices, amendments, reviewing and approval of invoices.
 Reviewing and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers proposals for change orders and issuance of subcontract amendments as required
 Monitor the activity reports of suppliers and contractors to verify prompt issue of design deliverables, document submittals and equipment deliveries
 Participate with cost team and finance team in preparation of monthly performance/progress reports and in preparation of payment forecasts.

Monitor the activity reports of suppliers and contractors to verify prompt issue of design deliverables, document submittals and equipment deliveries
Planning and directing the orderly closeout of contracts and purchase orders, settlement of claims and back-charges, and resolution of punch list items.
Issuing procurement historical report for inclusion into the project historical report.
Monitoring and evaluating performance of assigned project Procurement personnel. Recommend qualified candidates for contracts formation and administration assignments and help identify career development opportunities for employees.
