Having earned a BSc degree in Geology/Earth Sciences in Addis Ababa University in the year 2008, I have been practicing my knowledge of geology as a geologist, engineering geologist, geological engineer and material engineer and senior geologist for the past year in different local and international projects for about 10 years. I have taken different on-job application soft wares related to my field of work such as: global mapper, Auto CAD, Primavera Project Planning, stereographic projection and rock slope analysis.
Currently, I am working as a senior geologist/ Mineral License Administration Expert in the Mineral License & Administration Directorate of the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas. As a mineral License Administration Expert, I am applying the Mineral Cadaster System to fulfill my duties of mineral license administration both during my field inspections/supervision (such as License area check-up, etc.) and office duties (such as exploration and mining report evaluations, complying with mineral laws and regulations, etc.). I have also been involved, as one of the resource persons, on the assessment, analysis and reporting of existing mineral license administration procedures as well as the existing structural and administrative arrangements of the mineral sector of Ethiopia.
I am currently working in the Ethiopian Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas.
