-Implement all safety aspects as per company policy, contractual and legal requirements related to the project.
-Ensure safety of man, equipment, material and method during all phases of construction work. Ensures concerned supervisor/ Foreman to conduct daily safety review and implement safety aspects relevant to the particular type of work.
-During testing and commissioning ensures that equipment are ready for safe operations and the working areas have been restricted to safe distance.
-Reports immediately any safety violation directly to the project manager.
-Checks usage of proper tools and shall allow only those found satisfactory.
-Conduct investigation of incident/accident to determine the cause(s) of accident(s) or dangerous occurrence and recommends means of preventing recurrence.
-Inspect the site to ensure it is a hazard free environment.
-Conducts toolbox meetings
-Promotes safe practices at the job site.
-Performs emergency drills.
-Conduct job hazard analyses.
-Monitoring the safety of all the workers and the workplace to protect them from the entering hazardous situations.
-Conduct toolbox meetings
-Verifies that all tools & equipment are adequate and safe for use.
-Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
-Provide advice, information on OSH issues
-Assist in the application of OSH procedures
-Help manage risks and hazard and implement agreed control measures
-Report and investigate incident prevention strategies for their area
-Liaise with their head academic/administrative unit, OH&S and other safety

-Monitor local area compliance with OHS policy and procedures
-Audit local area HSE compliance with regard to risk, emergency and

-To promote OSH awareness.
