1. Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of material from local and overseas vendors
2. Evaluation of vendor quotation to ensure that it is in line with the technical and commercial specifications required
3. Resolving supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors
4. Evaluating suppliers’ performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensures all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
5. Implementation of internal procurement strategies to cater to urgent material requirements within short lead times
6. In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
7. Assist top-level management in relative decision making
8. Development of new products and vendors for signage materials, printing machineries & raw materials as well as corporate gift items and Mass promotional give away
9. Application and coordination with relevant ministries for chemical import approvals
10. Preparation of export documentation
11. Comparing quotations for logistics and finalizing appropriate agent based on transit time, pricing and payment terms
12. Establishing Letter of Credit and evaluating the relevant terms and conditions in contract
1. Greet and receive customers and collect customer data.
2. Understand the customer requirement and suggest appropriate product.
3. Provide elaborate product details as per customer requirement.
4. Provide corporate customer leads to the corporate sales team.
5. Co-ordinate in the delivery of invoices and collection of payment from credit customers.
6. Provide the customer with appropriate technical support by understanding the issue faced and forwarding the case to the concerned engineer.
7. Filing and maintaining relevant records from time to time.
8. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
9. Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
10. Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
11. Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
Maintain good relationship with existing clients and bring in new clients. Generate revenue by cross selling and up selling financial products and providing associated services. The job involved a lot of travelling. Make presentations to the clients regarding various products and updates from time to time. Provide the client with the best available solution from us to meet his needs and even provide upgrade on services currently used by the client.
Supervise the store team. Conduct promotional campaigns and activities. Resolve customer disputes and learn the various aspects of managing a fashion apparel store. Being a trainee for my project experience I was guided through each procedures and practices in the organization by my Department manager. I was given exposure to every department in the store.
Internship was done with Future Value Retail to identify the brand awareness and brand perception of each brand in the "Fashion @ Big Bazaar" stores.
Participated in inter college business plan presentations and seminars.
Served and house captain for red house. Red house was the Champion house for the year. Represented our school in the district level meet for shotput.
