Responsible for the management and oversight of IT services, infrastructure support, and service provisioning for the Middle East regional offices of Barclays Capital and Wealth operations that spans Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Qatar, and Riyadh datacenters, IT equipment, and the facilities housing the equipment. Hold full ownership and accountability for the purchase, control, and control of $2M in IT equipment.
• Coordinate and facilitate incident/change/and problem management across a range of IT services that include Active Directory, distributed file systems, file and print services, MS Exchange, Blackberry servers, SAN/backup servers, networks, and telephony/Reuters market data systems.
• Played an instrumental role in the execution of an infrastructure transformation program that migrated 600+ users to the Barclays Africa platform and rolled out of strategic voice recording systems.
• Served as the on-site liaison for the planning and execution of hardware, software, server, and communication system and equipment upgrades, as well as supplier service management functions.
• Led and contributed to multiple IT and infrastructure projects and transitions including:
o IT infrastructure setup at DIFC, Abu Dhabi, Qatar Financial Center (QFC), and Riyadh locations.
o Relocated 120 Barclays Wealth Management IT staff and operations to the DIFC premises.
o Consolidated datacenters to reduce datacenter footprint and saving $250K USD annually in datacenter costs.
o Oversaw the procurement, installation, and commissioning of wireless controllers and access points for the DIFC offices.
o Setup and commissioned the Central Bank fund transfer system for Barclays Bank.
• Maintain and manage a virtual desktop infrastructure comprised of VMware ESX servers and associated terminals deployed to 80 users.
• Coordinated the procurement, installation, and commissioning of Reuters Dealing Systems, Voice Biometrics servers, Cybertech voice recorders, and a Cisco IP telephony system for the DIFC.
• Worked cross-functionally to plan and deploy a complete video conferencing system upgrade that spanned 8 meeting/boardrooms.
• Conducted annual BCM tests of the voice infrastructure that included failover testing with global voice teams and voice service providers.
• Provided on-site expertise and assisted in the installation of an IQMX and Speakerbus system with 35 IPC Turrets and 16 SB modules.
• Assisted the central team in the migration of DHCP scopes from Active Directory to a strategic Infoblox DHCP and DNS grid infrastructure for Dubai, Qatar, and Riyadh Sites.
• Collaborated on infrastructure requirements, led test data analysis and collection efforts for Reuters Datafeed Servers during beta phase.
• Project led Media Data Network rollout for all Media clients in the U.A.E. including client site surveys, third party contractor quotes for Dish/Cable installation, coordination with clients IT staff and training.

• Played key role in transition from old, legacy systems to new, state-of-art applications like Reuters 3000 Xtra, Dealing 3000, Reuters Trader and hosted services that created potential for future business growth and improved competitive position.
• Manage resolution process for high-level problems raised by internal and external customers relating to functionality of real-time and historical market data and the applications associated.
• Provide 1st level support to different Market Data Systems like TRIARCH (Trading room information architecture), RMDS (Reuters Market Data Systems), Deal Manager and Effix servers.
• Recognized as key project contributor for installation of Risk Management System (Deal Manager) at Standard Chartered Bank and Emirates Bank International.
• Project led Real-time information installation for over 60 positions at Merrill Lynch; Lehman Brothers.

• Supervise and lead a team of six engineers for a multi-million dirham project to rollout IBM PS/2 Systems at all Government funded schools in UAE.
