The project :Protection of King Talal dam:
Donated by (BMZ) and implemented by The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the project aims to protect the structures at the dam to enhance the dam serviceability life by rehabilitation of existing structural elements and by constructing new retaining walls at specific location to reduce the risk of soil erosion.
Duties and responsibilities:
-Collects the field data by using the proper devices, equipment's & techniques, assist in the structural designs of the proposed structures.
-Supervising & monitoring the C4W worker's daily execution of work to the highest safety, environmental, and quality standards in close coordination with the senior engineer.
-Assist with writing engineering specifications of the project and perform calculations and engineering evaluation.
-Being part of the interviews panel to select the project C4W workers for each recruitment cycle.
Control, monitor, and inspect the construction work, techniques & appliances at the implementation sit in close coordination with the senior engineer.
-Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments and make sure that all of the workers are following the safety procedures.
-Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs and marking the layout drawings.
-Prepare a full detailed daily report of the site activities.
-Provide inputs & participate in the preparation of the project progress reporting.
1. Responsible of the design of the structural elements of projects.
2. Following up with the architectural team to find the best structural design which is compatible with their requirements.
3. Following up with the supervision team in the site for the inspections.
4. Interacted and coordinates with different engineers to produce results on time.
5. Prepare the required structural drawings.
6. Being flexible and continuously respond to customer needs.
7. Model and analyses using finite element softwares (ETABS, SAFE, PROKON).
8. Working on various codes of loads and codes of design, such as; ACI318, AISC-360, IBC2009, ASCE07-2010 and British Standards.
9. Structural design and value engineering for miscellaneous international projects.
10. Providing value engineering solution for structures; and check the applicability of such provided solutions
