•Co-ordinate purchasing department trade execution activities, develop strategic partnership with suppliers, co-ordinate activities pertaining to contract negotiation, execution of contracts, L/C SWIFT, shipment planning, handle and manage shipping documents
•Liaise with traders on open positions, vessels’ loading and other issues pertaining to trading risks
•Contact shipping companies on shipping arrangements, vessel schedules and cargo tracking
•Scrutinize contracts made by traders/suppliers, highlight potential risk areas in contracts
•Handle order processing with suppliers, charter party fixtures with shipbroker, computation and settlement of lay time with suppliers
•Maintain interaction with board of directors, update regularly on daily activities and address issues of concerns.
•Handle claims and respond effectively and proactively to problems
