Duties and Resposibilties
Preliminary investigation and assessment of conditions and faults of assigned C & I equipment for
maintenance.
Periodic checking and monitoring of instruments functionality which includes inspection & process
line de-clogging purging.
Functional check, replacement, and repair of defective/non-functional instruments and related devices.
Calibration and set point adjustment of field devices.
Troubleshooting causes of equipment/process failure, trouble, or malfunction by online/offline
process/device, simulation and online DCS/PLC control logic-monitoring, application of logic:
coil/contact/register forcing.
PLC Program sequence analysis, modification, and maintenance: back-up, downloading, uploading,
processor replacement
Learning how to operate and maintain new equipment and instruments (e.g Various analyzers,
controllers, field instruments, test instruments, etc.) .
Tuning and matching of controllers.
Regularly checks the calibration of process control instruments in accordance with the
preventive maintenance schedule.
Carry out corrective maintenance such as repair and calibration of instruments as per request by plant
personnel.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tag out or LOTO and
confined space entry,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross- functional
teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
Makes assessment reports on the status of process control instruments and if required,
recommends corrective action.
Coordinates with production personnel on how repairs can be carried out without incurring production
loss.
Coordinates with various maintenance personnel in carrying out instrumentation shutdown activities.
Recommends and purchase instruments based on required specifications.
Developed and implemented control strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyzed complex instrumentation and control systems to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Provided technical support and maintenance for industrial instrumentation and controls
equipment.
Calibrated, adjusted, and tested instruments and equipment to ensure proper operation.
Repaired and replaced faulty electronic components, wiring, and tubing.
Installed a n d commissioned new instrumentation and control systems for industrial
applications.
Performed preventative maintenance on instruments and control systems to reduce downtime. Developed
and implemented control strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyzed complex instrumentation and control systems to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Performed maintenance and repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
