Studying Tender drawings and specifications to figure out quantities of various items
for procurement purpose
Identifying supplier/subcontractor, sending enquires, preparing comparison statements
& submitting prequalification documents to consultant / client for approvals.
Meeting with probable Subcontractors or Vendors followed by negotiation and finally
preparing the Subcontract.
Ordering the required material and tracking deliveries as per requirements.
Planning Site execution activities, monitoring and comparing with baseline program
to look for shortfalls and further looking for probable measures to meet targets
Assigning targets to fellow site Engineers and monitoring subcontract activities.
Site Execution works i.e. Excavation, Embankment Construction, Utility works and
site monitoring and looking for measures to save time, improve quality of work while
meeting monthly targets and related project requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Study and analysis of Tender Documents.
• Quantification of works executed at site.
• Preparations of Client and Subcontractor Bill.
• Reconciliation of all works on monthly basis.
• Coordinating with site engineer and site visits for inspecting the work done to measure variation in the works.
• Working with technical department for preparation of shop drawings and As built drawings.
• Joined as a Trainee Engineer in Chennai Headquarters and was involved in Tender Preparation, Quantity Surveying, , Resource Allocation, Construction programme, attending pre-bid tender meeting, Co-ordination with project site .

• Study and analysis of Tender
• Preparation of Pre-Qualification Documents
• Quantity Surveying and rate analysis of various items of works
• Studying the market and looking for upcoming tenders.
• Involved in Business development works.
• Coordination with consultant and Client as per their requirements
