Under general direction, assist with the Sr. Research investigators by performing moderately complex research and experimentation following established protocols, independent research or perform various technical & editorial duties, process and analyze data, perform supervisory and training duties. Perform routine maintenance of Analytical Process Instruments, such as (Heat Transfer units, Distillation unit, Process Control units, Fluid Mechanics units, Mass transfer units) counter tops, and equipment sets-up, operates various scientific Instrument apparatus.

Review Instrumentation specifications, BOQs and MTOs, ensuring that specific construction and installation requirements are included prior to ordering of equipment and materials.
Supervise instrumentation according to the project plan, and proactively determine and highlight possible deviations from the schedule and suggest corrective action.
Conduct progress review meetings with vendors and contractors on regular basis for on time delivery.
Review project construction plans, work packages, materials availability, and drawings availability, and suggest alternate approach to site planning engineer, where bottlenecks exist.
Undertake work measurement for its verification against the contract scope and highlight any changes or deviations promptly to the Construction Manager.
Undertake functional Installation & pre-commissioning work for the assigned project(s) in accordance with the instruments commissioning plan to ensure that all pre-requisites of the commissioning protocol are fully met.
Upgrade project execution procedures to comply with international and oil & gas industry standards; Coordinate with customer and report on project progress successfully close and handover the project to customer.
Installation of Flow Computer (GF 868), Pressure Transmitters & Temperature Transmitters (Rouse mount), Flow Elements (GE brand), & XMT 868i Ultrasonic Flow meters, Clamp on Transducer (GE brand), and commissioning with Vendor.
Carryout design for process tubing routes for Instrument (Gas Line, Impulse & Air Distribution Line).Testing & Reinstatement of Process lines after Quality clearance.
E&I Field coordination with client, Engineering department, vendors, subcontractors for all E&I project activities as on supplying of Manpower for the TURN AROUND 2012 with Qatar Chemical Company.
Interpret construction and technical drawings.
Field Instrument Installation and Calibration of Level Transmitters, Flow Transmitters (HONEYWELL made) for ERC, PRC, CGC.
1. Maintenance of instruments and utility equipment of Desalination(R O Membrane) (Production of 10, 000 m3/hr) Water Plant.
2. Functional loop check, verification of instrument signals from field to RTU, and troubleshooting of instruments, pressure simulation (protection) test.
3. Calibration of level Transmitters, Flow transmitters, Pressure transmitters.
4. Functional loop checks, this includes the preparation of necessary paperwork, recording test data, and loop test sheet.
5. Erection and commissioning of Desalination(R O Membrane) Water Plant.
6. Witnessing the Testing and Commissioning activities of the main equipments /plants for both Power & Desalination R.O. Units. Checking alarms, interlocks, safety trip tests, trial runs of the plants.
7. Planning, Organizing, Scheduling the maintenance works, analyzing & investigating the breakdowns, and taking proper corrective action to prevent the reoccurrence of problems. Always working for the max availability of plant.
8. Estimation of man-power hours, material required for jobs, collecting all technical information and engineering drawings for equipment undergoing maintenance.
