Working as an Executive NOC Officer with prime focus on the Core Network (PS & CS Core ) and VAS (Value Added Services) at Zong CMPak, one of the largest 4G mobile data network operator across Pakistan, with 47 million subscriber base. Below are some of my key responsibilities in this position,
NWD Gi Links monitoring & escalations
Inter-region Links monitoring
OTT apps monitoring & escalations to relevant team
MBB Traffic shifting of PS Core data services
PS & CS Core related devices issues and queries resolution
MBB Traffic Management
Fault resolution by taking follow-up from respective ISPs
Hands-on experience of Huawei NCE, Huawei MAE U2020, and ZTE (NetNumen) clients
BSC & MSC level escalations and traffic monitoring
CMPAK_LDI Links monitoring
Monitoring of DNS Servers
DDos Attacks monitoring on ISP's Portal (PTCL, Transworld & CMI)
Applications Level monitoring on Huawei SmartCare Client, Zabbix, Grafana and Nagios
Service level monitoring of major CDNs (YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Tiktok, Wechat, Akamai)
Hands-on experience of CMPak FM (Fault Management System).
KPIs monitoring on both Huawei & ZTE Clients
Escalation of critical E-NOC (Energy related) alarms
Currently working in the IT Team of PayMax, a FinTech project of Zong CMPAK Ltd. A great exposure as the app had been in development phase and working closely with Operations provided a lot of experience for FinTech services and operations. Below are some of key responsibilities of this job,
• Responsible for 24/7/365 monitoring of Applications & Infrastructure using deployed tools & technologies like OpenNMS, Grafana, ELK, and Nagios etc.
• Primarily responsible for timely response to issues/complaints received from primary touchpoints i.e., IT NOC/OMC, Customer Care, S&D, Business Teams and resolve the issues at Level-1 within agreed TAT
• Responsible for escalation of issues to Level-2/Vendor as per defined TAT and follow up promptly till the issue resolution
• Responsible for intimation to relevant stakeholders Internal & External for the deployment of changes/downtime on production platforms
• Formulate, improve and ensure implementation and practice of Policies and Procedures like Incident Management, Complaint Management, and Escalation Management
• Assist Lead MFS Operations in the formulation of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operational Reports, Dashboards, Downtime/Outages, Complaints Resolution and Deployment Activities etc.
• Actively support in the execution of technology disaster recovery plans as per policy or when required
• Ensure day to day operations carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements and ECCL/MFS agreed SOPs
• Assist Lead MFS Operations to better support customers using Lean and Agile Processes
• Responsible for raising, following up and resolution of issues with external partners/integrators like NADRA, SMSC, USSD, CRM, 1-link, Trust Banks etc
Telecommunications Major, BE Electrical Engineering from NUST (National University of Science & Technology, MCS) CGPA: 3.10 Exposure to various programming languages, OOP & Data Structures, GSM technologies, Networking and communication, Signal Processing & Image Processing, Antennas, Microcontrollers, Network Security. FYP, use of GSM technology to send/transfer information about a car, information includes location and extracted through OBD port.
