Research Specialist-Risk Analysis

1. Assist in undertaking food safety risk analysis to support technically sound and transparent
food safety decisions, policies, regulations and standards;
2. Undertaking hazard identification and assessment of risk on food based on type of food item,
origin and along the food supply chain until it reaches the consumer (‘farm to table’);
3. In collaboration with other members of the risk analysis group, assist with the ranking of
food products based on risk - probability and consequences;
4. Assisting the risk analyst with determination of appropriate risk management options based
on technically sound and international best practice methodologies;
5. Assist with writing of technical reports on each risk analysis;
6. Computerizing the results in relevant electronic management systems;
7. Contribute towards determining research requirements to support effective science-based
decision making;
8. Assist with the design of information management systems for food safety risk assessments
and populating and maintaining the databases with relevant information;
9. Assist with the review of food safety risk analysis documents from other national (other
government ministries, research institutes or universities) and international sources;
10. Monitor the outbreak of foodborne illness in countries which are exporting food products to
Qatar to ensure that the risk of the hazard being associated with the imported food is
minimized;
11. Assist with arranging and coordinating workshops and meetings with various stakeholders

- Preparing courses quotation requested by sponsor clients
- Arrange for the candidates placement testing and provide their companies with the results and available
class timings based on the offered terms
- Registering sponsor clients candidates on the Teaching Center Management System, and ensure that
their companies receive their registration booking confirmations.
- Communicate with Sponsor clients to ensure they signed the sponsor letter of agreement before the
agreed terms start.
- Sending regular progress and attendance reports to sponsor clients by liaising with ST Adults and
teachers, double-checking them for accuracy, and ensuring delivery to sponsor within agreed deadlines.
- Handling of sponsor client enquiries, complaints and suggestions, ensuring appropriate follow up and
maintaining accurate records of action taken.
Developing appropriate relationships with sponsor clients to ensure their feedback is collected and
passed on to management in a timely fashion, including:
- Building relationships with training managers, visiting and calling whenever appropriate
- Holding focus groups or courtesy calling sponsored students to build relationships and take input
on their levels of satisfaction, their expectations and how they are being met, feeding back findings
to management
Liaising with Senior Teacher Corporate and Adults to ensure feedback from training managers and
students is incorporated into marketing messages and course offers as appropriate.
Assisting DELS, DTCM, Senior Teachers, Teachers and Registrar by
- Opening, closing and moving classes for (Adult, YL and Corporate students) on Teaching Center
Management System
- Transferring students (Adult, Young Learners and Corporate) on Teaching Center Management
System
- Managing waiting lists for (Adult, Young Learners and Corporate students) on Teaching Center
Management System
Raising and goods-receipting purchase orders for the department through SAP system.
Issuing and sending invoices to Sponsored and Corporate Clients
Assisting Registrar to complete termly Teaching Center reconciliation reports
Maintaining database of key Teaching Centre contacts and inputting customer data and
transferring specialised customer data to electronic files while maintaining confidentiality
Communicating with teachers to meet courses’ administrative deadlines.
Assisting Student & Parent Liaison Coordinator in preparing young learners’ reports and ensuring their
delivery by contacting the parents and sending out SMSs.
